Precious is 6'9 long and athletic. He has a larger margin for error because his physicality will always make an impact even if he's missing shots or making poor decisions. Flynn doesnt have that luxury. And im tired of people blaming Nurse; it's been 2 seasons now that Flynn hasnt been able to shoot at even an average level. This is on Flynn; time to chit or get off the pot cause the Raps have other guards who Flynn doesnt really outclass (Banton, RHJ, Harris, Champagne)
Flynn never got a real shot last season, and definitely didn't get a leash like Precious did. That's just fact. Precious made his share of mistakes. Flynn didn't get that. There's nothing really to debate there, that's what happened.
Flynn just needs to hit open shots next season and keep it simple. He'll be in the rotation if he consistently does that. And look what happend when Flynn started those few games when FVV was injured, he was great.. unfortunately he got injured. Nurse just needs to work with him to give him a shot - it goes both ways. Precious got 25 min a night last season and had a rough first half. Flynn just needs 10-15 a night. It's his third year now, u gotta give him a chance. If he still cant hit open shots and play our style, then you move on from him but the kid needs a chance.
Flynn is a late 1st round pick and, at this point, a fringe NBA player. These guys dont get long leashes. What they are supposed to do is make the most out of any opportunity, and Flynn just hasnt. Like i said, Raps have multiple prospect guards that are also currently fringe NBA players. Flynn doesnt deserve a longer leash than any of them. This is a competitive sport; Flynn isnt gonna get a long look because of guys like Banton/RHJ/Harris/Champagne all wanting to take his minutes. Chit or get off the pot
Ya you’re not really getting it. It comes down to getting a chance. He never got one last season thats my point. Late first round pick or not, we have given a chance to all players all over the board. Its his third year next season. You gotta give the guy a shot next season to make a decision. You either move on from him if he cant do it or we finally see something is there. Also, Look up what masai said post year about him. “What about Malachi?” “We have to give these guys a chance”. He’ll get his shot next season
