Well, no matter what you do (did).....you were gonna have to move those frp's to have a shot at a title. The question is, could you have moved Lebron, and got something better?

I have no problem trading those picks. They just need to be for something of value. Attaching two or three of them to make get a team to take Westbrick AND to take back their mediocre contracts doesn't do it for me.

I know there are peeps who just don't like Lebron.....and so I get why they didn't want him signed. But now he's matched up with AD on the timeline, and in 3 years we can reset. If not Lebron, then who? Nevermind the business side.....the list of players who are better than a 38 year old Lebron ain't that big. And how many of them were you gonna get? You aint getting Curry, Giannis, Klay, etc.

Are you really resetting with AD on the team? How are those picks gonna work out? Not to mention, we still have a gap in our next couple picks to begin with. So I think this makes sense.....as much as I'd have liked to have reset as well. I don't see some significantly better plan out there. Once Westbrick is off the team, maybe we can get lucky with a vet FA?

Or not. It's not like we'll be doing much with just AD on the team either. So this at least keeps us relevant, decent (once brick-boy leaves) and "on the cusp" ....meaning we're a good piece away from contending. Stranger things have happened.

Not what I woulda liked, but I don't see a better plan for the next 2-3 years. So I get it.

Someone pointed out that Bron waited to sign so he couldn’t be traded during this season. The 6 month waiting period from the day he signed is just after the trade deadline.

This is a completely made up rule that doesn’t actually exist.
