I mean, the Lakers are a top market, also with a top marketable player. It might be ridiculous as non-Lakers fan that they have nearly half of their games nationally televised but it makes business sense.

Not sure why people are complaining about the Lakers getting national attention. I truly believe people wants to see Lebron's team getting beat (from both casual and hardcore viewers). The NBA know this very well and is cashing in on this while this Lakers team is still mediorcre. Can't have a better butt-whoopin on national TV against the champ.

I get it, but when your team didn't make the playoffs the previous season, giving them the second highest number of national TV games seems a bit much. I'd much rather see more of the Nuggets, Grizzlies and Mavericks.

I think the Mavericks got too many even with Doncic. They lost the biggest FA of the offseason. No way they should get double the games Miami does.

Yes, I have it but these teams needs to be garnering more national attention.

He had plenty of healthy games and wasn't all that. AD ain't been dominant since the bubble IMO and that's their main issue aside from Westbrook

I'll never understand why people complain about the national tv schedule....in today's world where it's so easy to watch any game, it's just all pointless. Yes, a team with LeBron James on it will get a ton of national tv games....why is this news? I feel like the networks, who track this ****, have a reason behind it.

Pistons fans complaining about getting no games on ESPN....our team has been ass for over a decade, no one outside of Detroit cares. Why is this news? ESPN coverage is awful anyways.

To that end you could say, it's not about LeBron. Just feel like it's a slap in the face to teams that performed better that have less exposure.

It's about viewership, and LeBron is going to get more than the Nuggets, Grizzlies and Mavericks. People like me are going to watch regardless. They need the casual noob eyes.

I get scheduling the Grizzlies on national TV on day 2 because of Ja but I don't understand putting it on when the opponent is the Knicks. It'd be one thing if it was in MSG because MSG and the Knicks home crowd always makes for good tv but a Knicks road game? Chi v Mia or Cle v Tor are way better options for the early game. ESPN would contract more than half the league if they could if it meant the Knicks were good. Been watching sports for years now and I've never seen such obsession by national networks with a franchise that has no title and been meh or worse for almost 2 decades now. This is kind of unheard of.

To watch other teams not televised requires a league pass which cost more money.
