Re: Durant
I definitely don't include both. I would consider including one (Bane more than JJJ), but it still would be tough. If KD tries to force his way to us I wonder if we could get a deal done without any of Ja, Bane, or JJJ being included. Ziaire, picks, maybe some of our rookies, Brooks, Adams. Try to keep Clarke but if you have to include him so be it.

Re: Durant
I, myself, would not include Bane or JJJ as we look to be on the path to title contention without acquiring Durant, and he's 10+ years older than our core (and entering his age 34 season). If a package of Dillon, Adams, Z or Clarke, plus multiple 1st/swaps doesn't get it done, then so be it.

Re: Durant
What if beal agrees to sign with you if you can get Durant? like the PG13/Kawhi buy one get one deal. Would you trade trade both Bane/JJJ then?

Maybe. I think Lavine would be the safer and cheaper option if he was willing to come. I don't like the shooting trend Beal has been going down for many years and his defense has been terrible since he hit 24. I think a Harden style 4+ 1sts/3 swaps and Clarke and/or Ziaire (or whatever youth they would want) would be the package we would try to use here for a Durant trade. I have my doubts that an eventual Durant trade is going to have a lot of young proven talent of the quality of JJJ/Bane. Durant is going to give the Nets a short list of teams he is willing to be traded to and then see what they can get. GS is likely the Nets best bet if they want young already drafted talent if they like Kuminga and to a lesser extend Wiseman and Moody along with some picks and swaps. However, I think Memphis can match a GS offer really without touching our core unless the Nets just value Kuminga much more than Ziaire which I don't. Roping in Houston in get some of the Nets future picks back could be a focus here too, so depending on what Houston wants could dictate alot of what a Durant trade might look like.
Like VC3 I would also give up Bane before JJJ, JJJ defense and spacing is going to really hard to replace.

I am not a fan of either Beal or Lavine, so I cannot be a good source of opinion here.

I still probably wouldn't include both guys and would try even harder to keep JJJ. We would need his defense if Ja and Beal are our guards. There are a few teams that could offer a single asset better than Bane, but I don't know if they would plus we have some extra we can throw in so I'd hope both wouldn't be necessary.

Some might argue that Ben-Bane-Brooks-Ziare-Adams isn’t a bad start of rebuilding.

The problem with not including JJJ is lack of matching salary. Adams needs to be dumped to sign lavine or beal outright, and i dont think you can match for Durant without JJJ..

I wonder if Miami would do a package based around Herro+Bam. A Bane+JJJ+ package could maybe beat that out, but I personally wouldn't want to pay that price.

I think JJJ would be a better fit with Ja-KD for defense and you just have to hope his offense/shooting is where it needs to be. Ja/Brooks/KD/Clarke/JJJ would have solid defense and offense. If we want Beal or LaVine as well then we would have to move Brooks and JJJ so you'd have Ja/LaVine or Beal/KD/Clarke and not a ton else with limited means to acquire more depth. Your defense would also be quite bad. I think you'd have to convince Chicago/Washington to do something like a max Anderson/Tyus S&T (last two years non-guaranteed) plus picks/assets, finding a S&T for whichever of Anderson/Tyus isn't in the deal to a 3rd team, and then probably send Clarke somewhere though that could be part of the asset package. Then you do the Adams, Green, Brooks, Ziaire, and Bane for KD to match salary. Ja/Beal or LaVine/KD/JJJ and very little else.

Re: Durant
Looks like things are falling apart in Brooklyn now that KD has requested for a trade. The Blazers or Heat are the primary options I can see KD going towards. As for Kyrie, all I can say is who's crazy enough to take him on? The biggest loser on the Nets seems to be Ben Simmons. It has gone from bad to worse for him.

Re: Durant
Listening to the recent rumours, it looks like our current offer includes Adams, DB, ZW, Green, picks/rookies (you pick 5).

Re: Durant
And now, the KD demand saga seems to reach it's end as KD rescinds his trade request out of Brooklyn. Who's to say how long that may last. Either way, I still see no championship hopes or the Nets as the media tried to dubbed them last season before the Nightmares of Brooklyn took place last season.

Re: Durant
I’m surprised that FO didn’t offer Bane. There was no chance the Nets would accept any other offer.

The Grizzlies are heavily invested in Bane. So I'm sure they did not want to trade him away. Even for Durant if they can help it. Keep in mind although Durant earn his accolades throughout his career, he is getting older and more injury prone. Which is sad to say. I'm not sure I would've had the guts to pull the move for him.

The way the team looked yesterday against the Wolves, I am less concerned about not getting Durant. Probably, to the level I don’t care at all.

I imagine that we offered Dillon, Green and some combinations of our younger guys to make salaries work. It would have been exciting to acquire Durant and keep the core three, but ultimately I think we dodged a bullet if we truly offered all of our available 1sts and all available swaps.

I'm sure we said "You pick the package and can include anyone and everyone other than Ja, Bane, or JJJ" and they passed which is fine. KD would have been awesome to get, but if we had to part with Bane as well you are committing to a window of 2-3 years. If an injury happens you may close your window where as our theoretical window is open for quite a while with our core especially if we can use those assets and get another key piece that fits the timeline like OG or Bridges. Smaller championship odds each year than we would have had this year with Ja/KD/JJJ, but we have those odds for much longer.
