Sort of depends on the definition of "superstar".... I don't know if I'd ever consider Brandon Roy a true superstar, but he's my favorite player of all time in general.

I take that back, George McGinnis was definitely considered a superstar from 1973-1976 at least

nick Van Exel! He was such an exiting player.
I remember when Corie Blount(his teammate at Cincinnati) was drafted by the bulls he was asked if he was surprised to hear his name called and his answer was yes, because he couldn’t believe he got picked before Nick

Cedric Maxwell. I could not have stood watching the Celtics the year before Bird if Cedric was not on that team.
Cedric's Rubberband man moves were the most entertaining low post moves ever in my opinion.
"Ruberband man" an apt description courtessy of Johny Most.
Muggsy Bogues.

As a Celtic fan, completely in harmony with the Boston Garden "Beat L.A." Chant from Celtic fans to the 76er players out of Celtic fans love and respect for our loyal opposition the 76ers,, I must praise Caldwell Jones.
Caldwell Jones was so underrated. From my perspective Caldwell Jones might have been a better defender than Bobby Jones on the 1982 76ers. Bobby Jones got a lot of attention and accolades, maybe too much attention to call Bobby Jones a glue guy.
Caldwell Jones may have been an ABA star but by 1982 that had been forgotten and Caldwell Jones was not getting the respect that he deserved.
I never saw anybody defend Cedric Maxwell as well as Caldwell Jones did.

I’m not sure if my favourite but definitely one of mine, Tony Allen, I just love dog defenders and he personified it.

Tie between Sam Cassell and Jamal Crawford. Sam for his moxie and confidence, and Jamal for his heart of gold and disgusting crossovers.

My other choice was another 76er, Andrew Toney, a name Celtic fans probably wish to forget.

Boston hated Steinbrenner and the New York Yankees but did not feel that way about the 76ers. Early 1980s Celtics 76ers was competition as it is supposed to be which enabled loving your enemy.
Toney made Celtic fans groan. Toney could get hot and destroy the Celtics but that is just part of the game. Even with Toney, "the Boston Strangler" he was respected and appreciated by Celtic fans. No, I don't want to forget Toney.
