Just as in life, yes, there's a hierarchy. It's not KD's fault other guys didn't get signed. Free agency has been over for a while. If other players want to get paid in spite of a trade demand they should be better players lol.

I am sure their dad making millions makes it much easier for kids to have to change schools a week or two into the school year or go 8 months only seeing him occasionally. I am sure wives are perfectly fine handling all the arrangements, finding a new place to live and a good school for the kids, and getting moved while taking care of those kids while Dad is going to head off to training camp in the next couple of weeks. What if the player has a couple of opportunities to interview for a job they want after retirement, but he keeps getting told to just give it a few more days while teams figure out if they are trading half their roster? What if a team is Europe is offering a good salary but they need an answer now? What about China?
Players are people, they have lives outside of their job. Whether they make the minimum or the maximum they are all human beings with lives. Most people think they need at least $5 million in investments to retire, the average NBA player has 3 1/2 years in the league. Guys out of the league after 3 years on minimum deals haven't even made $5 million in total, they have no other skills, don't they deserve the opportunity to maximize their income from basketball?
yeah no one cares. Its called life and everyone goes through it. When you're navigating millions of dollars in between its a lot easier. Trying moving a million times when you're poor its not easy (went through this as a kid). KD didn't stop any of this from happening.
Sorry these guys who made 3mil didn't get their 5mil. The rest of people who will not make that in their lifetime will feel sorry for them.

I wish he would embrace his heel turn. Definitely a fascinating scenario where the guy was beloved his 9 years in the league and is now universally hated

According to Bev's post though, we should be seeing an avalanche of the final free agent signings

Typical Pat bev foolery. Nothing is going to change in the new cba. KD didn't sit out and still get checks. It's the off-season. So what if certain players were not signed yet because there was a possibility KD might be moved, that wasn't his fault. The same thing happens when a top tier free agent hits the market, are we supposed to take away free agency too? Silly take by Beverly imo.

Start taking their money and we'll see how fast this crap goes away
You know players get fined if they miss practices and games right? How the Nets gonna fine KD for holding out in the off season?

KD is a self centred diva and all around bitch but I don’t see how he’s to blame for what other teams aren’t doing. Last I checked there were about 20-25 teams not involved at all in the KD sweepstakes. They could have signed players all of this time. Pat Bev is just barking to bark.

If this was in a vacuum? Sure. But between James Harden (twice), Ben Simmons and Kyrie + the drama with AD + Lakers, Kawhi + Spurs....and no KD trying to bully an Owner who did everything asked of him and then some, into firing his Personnel and dictating to him how to run his franchise or with the implication of there being a risk of him "sitting out" like Simmons?
Yeah, enough is enough. The players have lost the plot and any sympathy the public would have for the players is out the window. I remember the 2011 lockout. I remember public support being pretty even split between the NBPA and Owners..but even then the longer the lockout went the less fans were understanding for the players.
This next go around? It's gonna be brutal.

Re: Pat Bev Goes Off On KD Trade Drama
It's not KD's job to worry about other players contracts or the future of the league. Despite his standing in the league, he's never shown any interest in being an ambassador for the sport.
That said, I'm not a fan of players signing long-term, max contracts and then turning around and demanding trades. It's bad business and I'm sure it's going to be discussed during the next CBA negotiations.

On a side note if you a NBA player do you buy a house in the area of the team you play for? Or only if you think you will live there for a good time? Pat Bev has been in Houston, LA, Minnesota and now Utah.

He mustve known Lakers trade was in the works lol, was just on hold til the Nets figured out what they wanted to do. He wanted to get his life going in LA again and had to wait a month or two cause of KD haha.
