They need to realize that not everyone needs a storyline, if you try it just ends up beating heel turns or "Someone is offered to join a faction" to death and diminishes when the stars have that storyline.

Finally got around to watching Dynamite after hearing all the hype about the CM Punk promo...

Before I get to that I just want to ask when did All Elite Wrestling become All Daniel Garcia Wrestling? like holy F*ck
what is this infatuation with this guy? so many stars they've signed that can't get regular TV time and yet this guy
is like on literally every episode of Dynamite and Rampage. And I know guys like Daniel Bryan, Regal, Jericho etc.
are all probably telling Tony Khan how awesome this guy is and you should push him :roll:

If the goal is to be North American NJPW or big budget ROH and get the best star ratings from Dave Meltzer while
only appealing to the Wrestling Bubble and the fans that only like that genre of Wrestling more power to them. It's
just sad they've had the exact same ratings since they started Dynamite 3 years ago and follow a formula that
traditionally is not very successful.

As for the Punk promo I thought it would be way better then the way the internet was reacting to it. I went back to
watch their original promo from a few months ago and I do remember thinking it was a little edgy especially coming
from Adam Page. I had never seen that side of him before as he usually comes off a little soft but he was really intense
and at the time I got the vibes that he was legit pissed that he knew his tittle run was coming to an end and that he
was jobbing to the new big star in town. There's no real history between these 2 why is this so heated for two babyfaces?

But in the promo Page is basically saying Punk is a giant @sshole when the cameras are off and that he's defending
AEW from him? pretty interesting things to say about a legend with a huge fanbase from a guy who most fans have
never heard of or are getting to know. Apparently CM Punk is using his star power and political influence to keep guys
like Colt Cabana off TV (although Tony Khan barely ever used him before Punk got there) and I'm guessing is rubbing
some guys the wrong way like he's historically done in every dressing room he's ever been apart of. Anyways Wrestling
needs more shoot style promos even if they're worked shoot promos.

Great to see Kenny Omega back guys a legit star hopefully his injury is a lesson that there's consequences to working
that style and you won't have a long career if you do. Also while it was kind of cool to see him work the other promotions
like Impact, AAA etc like Ric Flair used to go around the territories it was incredibly stupid of Tony Khan to not protect
his biggest star when your 2 years into building your promotion. Sounds like Omega had a myriad of injuries but imagine
if Omega broke his neck and missed a year because he was working a frigging Impact show in front of 30 people or if
Moxley tears his ACL working a NJPW show? Tony Khan has gotta be way smarter about protecting his assets.

That was hella weird. I agree with some sentiments that Punk could legit be injured still and this was a way to save the interim BS TK decided on

If that's the case though, surprised Punk was willing to look that weak

But wow if they do that, it better start at the PPV. Otherwise, it was incredibly stupid to do this tonight when they still could have gotten a good PPV main event out of this and instead wasted it on a 5 minute Dynamite segment !

They are definitely selling the injury. No clue what is really going on.

All Out is in like 10 days so they need to build a world title program with Mox quickly.

I don’t think it makes Punk look weak. He can hide behind the ‘came back too soon’, ‘still hurt’ angle. Taz was pushing that hard on commentary.

If Punk needs more time then this gets the belt off him while he heals up 100%. I see the POV of not wanting the champ to be sidelined for months on end while your competition seems to be heating up. Plus Mox has been on absolute fire since he came back from rehab. While everyone’s been dropping like flies to injury he’s been on night in night out. He deserves to drop the interim and have the title. It’s really been the summer of Mox.

Then when Punk comes back he can have a chip on his shoulder saying he only lost it because the foot etc. Could even go towards the heel turn.

What they do for All Out, I have no idea. No way it’s a rematch though. Meltzer must be going off old info, cause otherwise wtf lol But these are the questions that are gonna get people to tune in next Wednesday.

Either way I think it works. Mox gets the belt and looks like an absolute bad ass, Punk gets to continue rehab and has an in for a future title shot.

Given how close it is and the fact that Punk needed help out (looks like kayfabe), how are they gonna play that he is good to go 10 days later?

That’s the weird part to me. It would be believable months down the road, but not in less than 2 weeks.

Eddie really lost it because a Heel called him "fat" in a promo? are you kidding me? this coming from a
guy who's supposed to be a tough street guy from New York City??

Didn't he also freak out because someone (CM Punk?) said he was crazy or had a bad attitude or something
like that and he said he a mental illness or something?

Also remember someone saying he couldn't wrestle and he freaked about being on the indies for 20 years or something.

He literally gets offended in real life at heels trying to get heat on him in kayfabe promos. He's got incredible
thin skin and in the wrong industry if he can't handle heel wrestlers talking smack about him in promos.

If you're a heel working a promo with him what are you supposed to say about him without him taking it
personally and trying to attack you backstage?

If I was a top guy or had some stroke I wouldn't work with him at all

I like lean shredded Hager. Maybe after Lashley success in his 40s WWE could be interested in giving him another run.

I hope jobber Ziggler's faction is just a parody of AEW having so many.

The 6 man tag is fun also the ultimate example of Meltzer jizzes/Cornette turns off TV match. I think I preferred the casino ladder match participants 4 way match earlier.
