sure. mitchell has had advantages based on his teammates. but i just don't think they're on a similar level offensively.

I think it all depends on the role you want to give them, since they're both flawed stars in their own way.

The Knicks need an offensive engine for their starting unit and Mitchell has proven he can take on that role, though his middling scoring efficiency does require shooters and finishers around him to make the most out of his dribble penetration.

If the Knicks had an offensive engine already then you could make the case for acquiring SGA but they aren't there yet imo.

He was a regular caller into KnicksFanTV that decided to branch out on his own. He has no sources and is extremely boring

He gets hidden on defense and guards the weakest matchups and doesn’t really make a defensive impact. He’s in the No 3 No D category

He has had a negative DEF RAPTOR all 3 years too. Again not an end all be all stat but I wouldn't call him a plus defender.

Yeah I think folks that still call him a good defender haven’t seen him since Kentucky. I don’t think theu watch OKC games and follow him like that to know that he’s been bad defender in the league :lol:

That was only cause of injuries and Randle having down year the year before all he wanted from RJ was corner shooting he left the offense upto Randle Burks and Rose.

he also plays with some of the worst spacing in the league. to come here and play with us would be a godsend for him. for as much as people complain about RJ always having packed paints/no spacing/inconsistent shooters, the numbers show that he has played with 90 percentile+ spacing compared to the rest of the league. sga would love it here
