Hahn saying what I feel. Don't overpay and don't believe the hype from the media. Draw a line in the sand with a fair offer and be willing to walk away. DM is a good player to get but, he's not the final piece. If he costs too much you don't trade for him. Period.

Knicks should trade for Giddy now that his value is so low. Future 2nd rounder should get it done

Donovan Mitchell is a MUCH better scorer than SGA.

He was one of the main reasons the Celtics took a leap this year. There were times in the Playoffs where he looked like their best player

He's getting the Rookie max deal right now? Starting this year...31/33/36/38/40 is his contract. That's an awful.lot for a non superstar.

As an SGA lover, I have to be honest that his three point shooting this past season has me pretty concerned.

In fact, when you look at his career, the only time he was actively good from deep was in the bubble with no fans. All other distance shooting was either average or below, with the most recent sample being "absolutely horrific". He was literally the worst 3P shooter in the NBA of 145 qualified players last year. Randle was 144th.

If SGA is a terrible three point shooter, then his value in a trade changes drastically to me. He becomes more Dejounte Murray than an ascending, potential franchise cornerstone.

How does forfeiting a second rounder complicate anything?

He has had a negative DEF RAPTOR all 3 years too. Again not an end all be all stat but I wouldn't call him a plus defender.

Yeah I think folks that still call him a good defender haven’t seen him since Kentucky. I don’t think theu watch OKC games and follow him like that to know that he’s been bad defender in the league

I’m folks. I have not watched him much in OKC. (Who’s doing that to themselves?) I do remember college and LAC where he looked the part on a team that was trying.
RIP magnumt

thanks for everything, thibs.

My theory is he had trouble adjusting the new ball. His percentages were way down across the board to start the year and before they shut him down he was shooting much better. He's not a great spot up shooter but I think he's going to be enough of a threat that you can't sag from him and then once he's in motion he's an elite finisher. I believe he will be a great stop and pop midrange player a la CP3 as well. He's already very good. The way he scores is not easy to shut down in playoff situations. He'll just beat you with guile and he doesn't give it away at the other end.

I didn't realize SGA had a contract like that...it definitely does give me reason to rethink that whole thing.

I still think he's a good fit, he had one bad season from 3, one really good one and a couple of average ones, he's not as terrible from there as some are making it out to be.

It's true. This is basically Rick Brunson talking about Jalen Brunson.

Amen..

I have never been pro tank guy but I would rather we fire Thibs and do a full on tank for the next couple of years then give up 3+ unprotected picks and all of your youth depth for Donovan…

We’ll keep our assets and just wait for the next disgruntled star, f*ck that
