937 pages or so later and nothing has changed. These talks started almost two months ago? Knicks need to make an offer and make it public...then say take it or leave it. Enough with this dance of the click bait BS. Draw a hard line in the sand and let Ainge explain why it's not enough. If he takes a lesser deal...then he was never operating in good faith to begin with. There's nothing more to do or say. Put the ball in their court and be done with it.

Yeah I think folks that still call him a good defender haven’t seen him since Kentucky. I don’t think theu watch OKC games and follow him like that to know that he’s been bad defender in the league
I’m folks. I have not watched him much in OKC. (Who’s doing that to themselves?) I do remember college and LAC where he looked the part on a team that was trying.
I respect the honesty and really can’t blame you. There were times I caught myself tuning in to a Thunder or Rockets game to check out the young talent and the games were so bad I wondered why I even did that to myself.

I wouldn’t mind giving them one more unprotected pick and taking back one of the protected.

Point being he can posture through the media all he wants but everyone and their mother knows Mitchell is outta there and it's only a matter of time before he stops playing good soldier too...
Mitchell is a high character guy who takes pride in his rep as a professional, so that may be wishful thinking.
Anyway, Kevin Durant demanded a trade and then also tried to get the coach and GM fired, yet he's staying in Brooklyn. Mitchell has done none of that, so I don't see where people are coming to the conclusion that Utah is under the gun.
New York said Mitchell wasn't the guy you trade the sink for, then they traded it for Mikal, lol.

I feel like they’ll probably do this around the start of training camp, just so it doesn’t become a media distraction every single day with new trade rumors in the papers

Not me. They would have 5 FRPs in this draft with that deal counting ones they have. How much more do they need? I'm drawing the line right here with that offer. If they counter with your offer as a final answer, maybe I reconsider. I think this is a fair deal though.

After an ownership that had to have misled him when negotiating his extension, I doubt they told him they'd be tanking for his contract and through his prime years. Then Ainge surely told him that he'd be moved sooner than later to assuage his concerns expressed after the coach left so he wasn't wasting his career on a tanking rebuild roster. I wonder how long it will be before he tells the public how snaky they have been to him.
Even if Mitchell does play nice until he does get moved these types of things don't go unnoticed by agents and their clients. You thought Utah had a problem with attracting free agents and retaining their players before? It will get much worse and they will have to overpay through the nose to get or keep anyone from here on out if they continue to treat a guy who is the face of their franchise and such a 'good soldier' as anything less than a respectful way.
But you might be one of those types of fans who stans for the FO and owners no matter what they do so fail to see how this is some shady azz treatment or doesn't care how it will effect the future of player-franchise relations. You strike me as that type.

F them head charts. I am not sitting here zooming in trying to figure out who these people are.
They need to make 4 lists, one for each quadrant

Agreed. Those things are useless most of the time, they should have an accompanying list with numbers reflecting the the data displayed because hell if I know what everyone looks like in the league plus all the overlapping heads are a fustercluck of unrecognizable nonsense.

If you have to zoom in to find your guy chances are he’s not doing anything worth standing out for. That’s how you read the chart. The really good and really bad are easy to spot. The middle of the pack is bunched up so it’s just an easy way of getting a general idea who fits in what category in comparison to the rest

It should be an interactive chart so when you mouse over a head you get the name and details of the data in a popup and/or an accompanying list of the info because as it those things are pretty trash other than the outliers.

Our starters show the same pattern with Randle to some degree.
I think it's fairly logical that players tend to shoot more efficiently with a ball-dominant playmaker on the court, because they are more often spoon-fed, and they are less often asked to create for themselves.
Our bench has been so dominant without the starters that it's not too surprising their shooting numbers are better without Randle.
Fournier
Randle on 57.0 TS%, 56.0 EFG%
Randle off 46.5 TS%, 43.8 EFG%
Barrett
Randle on 51.6 TS%, 46.7 EFG%
Randle off 50.0 TS%, 46.2 EFG%
Mitch
Randle on 72.1 TS%, 76.5 EFG%
Randle off 72.3 TS%, 75.0 EFG%

Their tank imperative has them "under the gun", Mitchell eventually getting frustrated with their inaction would place them further "under the gun".

absolutely, most players cannot efficiently create for themselves, and numbers will always look better playing with the bench mob against weaker competition
shai's 3% shooting is also getting a little overblown. looking at strictly catch and shoot 3's, he needs help
