Particularly Schroeder, Lamb, McLemore, Whiteside, Carmelo are all NBA players with a role to give.

Really only a couple guys... Melo & Montrezl stand out at first glance.

Trez has a serious pending legal issue.

Whiteside and D12 are functional bigs off the bench when you need a big body. I’d take D12 first.

He got busted with some weed. I would hardly call that a serious pending legal issue. It will get pled down to a misdemeanor and nobody will care.

rich guy who doesn't want to make multiple trips to the weed guy. It's nothing and should be treated as nothing.

Some Celtics fans think this is an absurd suggestion but if Gallo is going to be out for a while I'd take Carmelo on the C's.

Wouldn't hurt to have another big on our bench as well. Whiteside, Aldridge, Dwight. Whoever imo.

While that may be true, your opinion and the reality of the US legal system are not aligned. Until this issue is resolved I seriously doubt anyone will sign him.

Yeah even if he gets off at the end of the day, teams will still wait for the process to play out before giving him a contract.

I would like the Blazers to bring Whiteside back. They need some size off the bench and in case Nurkic has an injury.
McLemore can be helpful for a team that needs an occasional microwave scorer off the bench and who will not complain if stuck on the bench for extended periods of time.

Cousins is an interesting one. I figured the Nuggets would want him back but heard he was looking for a starting role, which clearly didn't come about. While his injury history I am sure has a little to do with it, I assume most teams see him as a liability because of his temper. I could definitely still see the Nuggets interested if/when they realize that DeAndre Jordan probably isn't the answer and could use him off the bench toward the end of the year.

Not much there, Schroder is the best of the bunch. I Don't see how Carmelo helps anybody at this point.

The guy is an NBA player and can afford the best lawyers money can buy but people think he's going down on a felony trafficking charge for cannabis?

Nobody even said that. Two of us just think teams aren't going to give him a contract while he has a felony charge pending.

Well I took the OP as who would be signed this season. It's unreasonable to think it will take a year to resolve this.

So by that measure, he's likely to play this season. Furthermore, the issue isn't all that serious for a person in his situation.

I'm surprised Schroeder hasn't been picked up.
Raptors for example. Schroeder is better than Flynn right?

Lamb is a serviceable shooter. Maybe team like Lakers can benefit.

Dwight can still help . Surprised he hasn’t been picked up, Montreal would be a good regular season player but not with legal issues …. Rondo is done , iggy done .whiteside could be ok in regular season minutes . Melo is done. Deniss might be a laker again :o . Ariza definetly done . Blake griffin could 10-15m in regular season he should he still has effort to bring and hustles.
