Not sure why they hired him tbh. Was the same at Fulham.

They have actually sacked him because he criticised their process. If he doesn't agree with how they've decided to attack the prem then they are right to go their separate ways imo.

I don't necessarily disagree with Parker's comments, just the timing of them. Their squad probably is a bit light compared to their promotion peers and certainly the established Premier League teams. It doesn't help to hear it after a 9-0 loss, though, I'll agree on that.

If we sacked every manager who ever criticised their club's ownership or transfer strategy then there would be very few managers left. Parker also publicly defended Maxim Demin when he was being linked to Putin at the start of the Russo-Ukrainian war, so I don't think it's a personal issue.

It seems like there's something more going on behind the scenes beyond the surface level for Demin to issue such a passionate statement because I still think it's a pretty harsh sacking.

As I said last week, Chelsea are not all that good considering how much money they've paid out. A couple of injuries as the fixtures start to mount up and they are going to crash.

Haaland is ridiculous.


Not comparing playstyles or even quality, but Haaland in this City team kinda reminds me of Messi in peps system in Barca, as in, a player who is great already, becoming even greater because he is thriving within the system, and is benefiting from playing with other great players.


If that's sounds like a diss to Haaland, I certainly didn't intend it that way. The kid is a beast, and how well he's fitting in with City is a testament to his attitude/intangibles.




Either way I'm loving this Premier League season so far. So many interesting storylines...so much quality.

Arsenal leads the league but City at its peak, dominating possession and repeatedly serving to Haaland, looks like a threat to finally add the CL title in addition to another EPL title.

Honestly I wanted him to do well, I always give managers a chance. However he is totally out of his depth, he seems lost without his trusted assitant coach (Michael Beale), our set up means we get dominated on the wings and in the middle of the park (lord knows how you get dominated in both areas at the same time) and some how a lot of our players have regressed. There's now articles coming out saying half of our squad are unhappy with the way he handles things etc.

He literally had the perfect foundation for him to do well here, we have the money, we got good facilities, we have decent to good players and a good academy. Oh well it's just one of those things, his face towards the end of the match was telling.
