EDIT: Amare fits at center

You also have Adrian Dantley at SF. I remember him playing for the Mavs briefly. And Jerry Stackhouse too.

Very 90's ball team.

I don't think Zaza was ever a star

Not really all “stars”, but I’ll give OKC a try:

I think Tiny was too good with the Cs to count.

And I'd take either Shaq or Walton over Gilmore -- perhaps indeed the defensive one, if we're starting Maravich and Nique.

I was switching it up a little bit because there's a few different lineups we could throw out that will all compete buzzer to buzzer. Payton and Shaq are welcome in the starting lineup anytime lol.

I went with Tiny for two reasons 1). We didn't get him until after the achilles in his thirties (Right? Thirties?) and he wasn't quite the same and 2). I gotta have my Tiny Pistol backcourt.

I started with this:
Tiny, Payton, Marbury, Cassell
Pistol, Ray, Bing, Birdsong
Nique, Finley
KG, Sheed
Shaq, Gilmore, Walton, JO

I mean,
Marbury
Birdsong
Finley
Sheed
JO,
is still better than many teams can put together lol.

The OP explicitly ruled out guys who were all-stars while they played for your team. So no Tiny and no DJ.

Not so easy for Utah, we just keep all our own old stars

Bernard King and Dell Curry both did stints in Utah *before* their careers really took off, but that's a separate question.

Post-prime I see guys like Tom Chambers, Tom Gugliotta, and a 4-game stint from Darryl Dawkins...maybe Mark Jackson at PG?

We'd probably have the worst squad in here! Nobody really goes to Utah I guess. Not in their prime, not to end their career, not to try to win a ring... can't even remember such a veteran on those late 90s squads.

EDIT: we had John Starks at the end of his career. With Mark Jackson we at least have a decent backourt.

Gotta love seeing Heat fans including Shaq. For a guy who talks stuff about players that change teams going for rings I see the possibility of including him by Cleveland, Suns, Celtics and Heat fans (altough I don't agree with the Heat fans mentioning him).

Vince and Allen Iverson on the same team... that was the dream. I was absolutely a fan of both, too bad neither ever won a ring.

confused why my fellow Mavs fans are leaving off guys like Dantley, Tim Hardaway Sr, Fat Lever. Maybe too young?

For the Jazz, I'd have the following lineup:

Walt Bellamy/Billy Paultz
Tom Chambers/Danny Manning
Boris Diaw/Richard Jefferson
Gail Goodrich/Devin Harris
Mack Calvin/Mark Jackson

Yeah, that starting five is not exactly mind-blowing compared to some other teams mentioned here. If you counted pre-prime stars, you could also add Bernard King to the mix.
Gordon Haywood, Dwayne Wade, JJ Reddick, Derek Rose, Derrick Fisher, Lenny Wilkins, Kirk Heinrich, Oscar Robinson, DeMar DeRozen, Andre Iguadola, Pascal Siakim, Malcolm Brogdan

Most people didn't read the criteria for building a team. Seeing a lot of full time starters.Heat Shaq and Marion,Lakers Dwight,Malone and Payton, Blazers Arvydas and Scottie etc so I don't believe those count.

PG:Mark Price
SG: Gilbert Arenas
SF: Dominique Wilkins
PF: Shawn Kemp
C: Patrick Ewing
My opinion may not be your opinion or their opinion but I have it.
