Lebron is basically going to go the Jeter route (well, before Jeter just quit this year anyways): He's going to be a minority owner who's going to use his name/cachet to be the frontman of the ownership group and basically convince the "majority" owners of the group that he should be the head guy/shot caller of the franchise.

Jeter's ownership stake of the Marlins was only around 4%, but he was basically oversaw day to day operations before he quit earlier this year.

But yeah, in any case, if Lebron wants a piece of ownership, he should probably retire sooner to get in on a piece of that action rather than wait another 4-5 years for both his sons to be old enough to play in the league.

No proof Jeter used roids like A ROD. He was at a huge disadvantage.

True, A-Rod did roids in HS lol. While likely he would have been a MLB player, he's not like Bonds where you could say he was already a superstar before steroids. We have no record of A-Rod before steroids to be able to say how good he was clean.

Jeter has 3465 career hits. That's 6th all-time to go with a .310 average. He's much closer to Curry than Iggy from an analogy standpoint.

I doubt he is going to try and buy a majority stake in a team , he will be a minority partner with FSG

I think for an NBA team he would want to be a majority stake holder. Maybe not now or shortly after his career is over but I could see him wanting this when he's older. Jordan and Lemieux are the standard that probably most ex-athletes with ownership goals may want to aspire(if they have the cash) to and I can't see Lebron being a partial NBA owner like some of the other recent guys especially since his net worth dwarfs most other ex-athletes/businessmen including Magic.

We will see but I expect him to invest further into FSG when the time comes rather than directly into an NBA team and have that be the platform for him to influence how a team is run

He also had some great playoff years but there was a really bad stretch for the Yankees that everyone remembers.

I have not seen or heard of Selena at least I don't think I have? Sounds like a chick flick. I think I know her because she's just a famous person more than I know why or what she did to become famous.

He's clearly "closer" to Iggy, though than Curry. A better comparison to Iggy would be someone like a 2-3x all-star guy with 2000 career hits, good defensively, etc...Something like a Griffey Sr. or Ron Gant level player.

Jeter made all-star a few too many times and had too high of a career BA to be "compared" to a guy like Iggy.

Selena was arguably the 1st female Mexican American international superstar with hits both in English and Spanish and a huge following especially among Mexican women when she was murdered by her friend/fan club manager. J Lo played her in the movie Selena which was about her life, and helped make J Lo an international superstar.
