Jeter has 3465 career hits. That's 6th all-time to go with a .310 average. He's much closer to Curry than Iggy from an analogy standpoint.
He's better than Iggy, but he's much closer to a guy who had a long career of being a good allstar but never an all out superstar level player (clearly he was a superstar in terms of fame and had all kinds of success with the team). Meanwhile Arod was someone more like Moses Malone. Perhaps not in that upper upper level, but still a dominate player at another tier.
He's clearly "closer" to Iggy, though than Curry. A better comparison to Iggy would be someone like a 2-3x all-star guy with 2000 career hits, good defensively, etc...Something like a Griffey Sr. or Ron Gant level player.
Jeter made all-star a few too many times and had too high of a career BA to be "compared" to a guy like Iggy.
I think we more or less agree here. I was looking for a warriors comp and there wasn't an ideal one.
