Prime or peak? Both Lin and Casspi had underwhelming careers (including what age-wise would count as their prime) but pretty great peaks (Linsanity and 2016 Casspi).

Yes I thought about it, but Rui hasn't hit his prime yet so it will be uncertain as to how the lineup will do.

Middle East? Israel's sports teams used to join the Asian tournaments but switched to Europeans later. Can't think of a good Asian SF (except Rui who hasn't hit his prime) so I have to settle for Omri.

Re: Yao/Yi/Casspi/Clarkson/Lin
lin was dealt a bad hand.. he excelled when he could play with the ball (nyk, brooklyn, charlotte), he became ineffective when played with a ball dominant guard (kobe, harden) or he was injured, and his raptors tenure i'd chalk up as new situation for 2 months...
he was good enough that teams who needed PGs got him to play PG, but he wasnt good enough that GMs had faith in having him lead their team..

They’re not making the playoffs in either conference

Re: Yao/Yi/Casspi/Clarkson/Lin
Rui and Jalen Green pissed.....and I’m offended these dudes didn’t make the list...
Rui didn’t even speak English until like recently and is clearly more Asian than Jeremy Cali to Yale to NYC to Houston Lin and I love Lin
If it’s all the best Asian players I got them winning it all no matter what....cause I’m bias and Yao is a monster

Yao would be the best big man in league right now,.. yep these rules with his touch ? Definitely a mvp candidate

Can’t make enough 3s for relevance in the modern era. I mean maybe they could make the playoffs if it was 2008.

Had to do a bit of research but I came up with this:
Jeremy Lin/Sun Yue/Raymond Townsend
Jordan Clarkson/Johnny Juzang
Jalen Green/Yuta Watanabe
Rui Hachimura/Yi Jianlian
Yao Ming/Wang Zhizhi
Coach: Erik Spoelstra
I'm not sure what the cutoff would be as far as minimum percentage of asian blood. Yuta Watanabe and Johnny Juzang were also both left out of everyone's lineups but they are both currently on NBA rosters. Turns out both Jalen Green and Jordan Clarkson have some Filipino heritage too:
Also if you include Islanders James Johnson (half Samoan), Steven Adams (half Tongan) and Patty Mills (Melanesian and Australian Aborigine) would be available.

Re: Yao/Yi/Casspi/Clarkson/Lin
Yao was the only really legitimate player. The rest were either flukes like lin or just above average like Clarkson. Yi had the physical tools to be pretty good but lacked everything else

Probably not, but if it gets prime Yao back I'd be ok to see it just so he could eventually go to another team.

Yao Ming
Yi Jianlian
Omri Casspi
Jordan Clarkson
Jeremy Lin
If Yi would have gotten it together they could surely contend, otherwise it’s very tough for this team to go anywhere but the 1st round.

Re: Yao/Yi/Casspi/Clarkson/Lin
I mean if it's younger Yao who is lighter and faster and you give them all a year to get used to the 3. Maybe they can be competitive. It all depends on Yao who is the only blue chip.
They would def be competitive during prime yaos era.
Today not as much. Tho imo yi would be better in today's game.

Yi was terrible, why not add Hachimura. Jalen Green also needs to be on this team

He explained why he didnt include these players. Yi was pretty good, just never translated to NBA level for some reason.

How much Yi must have gotten, because man, Yao and 4 tolerable NBA players at best, aren't competing for anything in the NBA.
