Got too cute and lost momentum in the second half but another clean sheet. I'll take it.

2 poor teams play out a lame game.

From a Leicester pov the second half was much better than the first but we were very poor and beating us 1-0 showed that Man U have a long way to go yet.

I would be surprised if he lasts much longer.

After the match, Rodgers took a shot at ownership over transfers saying "this isn't the club it was 2 years ago."

To me it sounded like a plea to get out from Rodgers or it was just post match frustration about everything.

I'll support him until he goes but I think we need a new manager. The players aren't playing to their abilities. Can't see Top firing him - it'd cost too much.

Hopefully he walks and we don't have to pay compensation. You can have him at villa. Then we'll go for Potter/Poch and end up with Dyche (whom I actually like).

Dyche is a good shout, he's very underrated and can work on a minimal budget. Potter/Poch would be good for you guys as well, however with Potter (I do really like him and think he is/will be a top coach) he may be one of those coaches you have to be patient with. It's taken Brighton a couple seasons to be all the way locked in, I'm sure he went through a bad spell last season with them I think it was 3 wins in 20 or something. However I know most of that weren't solely on him as their strikers weren't exactly consistent.

I know Potter is from the midlands so I'm sure he would welcome coaching a team from there to be closer to his family etc. He seems happy at Brighton though, it'll be tough to get him.

I don't mind Rodgers, but all of his teams seem to go stale after a few years. Or he throws his toys out if he doesn't get money to spend. I'm sure he did that at Swansea or Celtic? If I remember correctly?

Have any star players who went into coaching started at lower divisions or have they all been able to get HC jobs in the EPL?

A few maybe going to other countries to learn their trade there. Off the top of my head Vieira went to the MLS first I think to manage, I think Sol Campbell as well and I’m sure Xabi Alonso is in a lower division in Spain. Lampard started at Derby as well where he made a name for himself likewise Rooney. I think it’s pretty rare that a former top player retires and gets a head coach/managers position in the EPL straight away.

However it’s much easier to be considered as a head coach for a former star player after they’ve done a gig somewhere else for a year or two. (Gerrard, Arteta etc)

What a free kick by Toney. Amazing how much power he can generate just from two steps.

BIG 6 VAR bias everywhere again. It's now become double jeopardy for big 6 teams. We may as well scrap VAR and go back to the 1 ref cheating.

Haaland strikes again, but what a ball by De Bruyne, it just floats in the air to Haaland's boot

To be honest, I think Villa have played well here. With a bit more cutting edge they could get something from this game.
