Thank god. If this is true Bam is going to be dominant and should get him ready to consistently carry the offensive load in the playoffs with Jimmy
I have to see it. I don't trust Spo vision of post play offense.

Idk, it worked with LeBron who Bams around the same size as (yes I know he’s not LeBron) and he’s physically imposing. It’s going to be match up based. He’s been working on his jumper to pull bigger guys out of the paint and then kill him with his quickness. Smaller guys he’ll bully in the post. He has the ability to do both, our best most efficient players/scorers need to be the guys taking the most shots and that’s Jimmy and Bam
I rather have low to mid post plays run for Bam, iso him on mismatches. Running him Bam in the high post feels like he will be more tempted to pass out of.

Run post plays like they use to do for Wade. Let him be the finish point and not initiating offense.

I don’t disagree, whatever is going to get the most shot attempts out of him. It’s time he becomes that guy. He shouldn’t not be an all star again for the next 7 years minimum. It’s time for some 3rd team all nba selections behind Embiid and Jokic too

Just watched the video Twix:

1. Wades the GOAT

2. Yea that’s what I was envisioning by ICCs post since he already initiates the offense as a passer this would be the change in offense. Get the ball in the high post/elbow area and let him go to work. Guard screens ICC mentioned will be huge for him abusing smaller guys. Pick and roll actions with Lowry and Herro should work well too

The fascination Jimmy has to come to a middle ground, balance!
jb is great but let's face it ...he has benefited a lot playing with the heat and 2 lucky runs in the playoffs in 3 years (or perhaps somebody thinks extreme luck didn't play a huge part for the heat on this runs)

A lot of players deserve credit for our runs specially bam and hero... in the first one we wouldn't have been even close without Robinson for God's sake!!
spo has done the best coaching job he can do in both of Those runs, I also acknowledge

So please leave JB alone

This franchise was middling in shambles before Jimmy decided to forgo championships with Philly the Lakers and possibly clippers to join us. We were paying big money to Whiteside Dion JJ and KO and didn’t know what we had in Bam yet. We’ve been very successful these last 3 years and Jimmy is the main reason, not luck

He is a Heat player. We'd have to give up picks to move him.

Ideally they want to hold fast as they get more access to picks.

As ICC metion there may be some executes who want to move Duncan so they can resign Herro. However, the main executive is not sold on Herro as that third piece of a big 3 title team.

They may have to make a non-heat like move and trade Herro for picks. Assets that are now highly desired in the traded market. I believe a team like the Charlotte Hornets may be a team that will give up picks for Herro. A backcourt of Herro and Ball should bring needed Hollywood in Charlotte. I know this will not be favorite take like usual.

The Heat are guilty of the old saying “ You cant have your cake and eat it too”, when it comes to Herro. If they idea was to trade him we are two years too late, you dont trade a player who is up for an extension and expect a huge hall. No one will take our financial mistakes (Duncan, to a lesser extent Lowry) just to get Herro. The teams that want Herro also know we are adverse to paying the luxury tax, so they are just waiting to strike. Why make a trade when you can make a strong offer and force our hand? Just with Herro, if he matched at the market rate of 30+ mil we are over the luxury tax, then add Diopo and thats going to be a huge tax bill.

seems like miami is forever a treadmill team now.... ever since the big 3 ended.... we had one good run when goran still had some gas left in the tank.... but once goran aged and now its just jimmy.... its over... until micky forces riles to retire miami we are stuck....this organization needs a full rebuild.

i cant speak for everyone, but me personally i would rather go through a rebuild than continue on this trend of gettin in the playoffs, only good enough to be there and not win titles. I always thought the goal was to win, not just get in.

We were the #1 seed and just short of making the NBA Finals again. This is not treadmilling.

You have to get in to win. If we blow this team up it will take at least 5 or 6 years just to get back to where we are now ... if we can even make it back this far.

I think trying to get picks and a play like PJ Washington could be a good step forward. Maybe the Denver pick and one Hornets pick?

It doesn’t feel “win-now”, but we shouldn’t drop much from last year with Dipo coming back strong. PJ’s extension will be much less than Herro & we gain 2 extra picks to use if/when a star becomes available. Meaning we have 5 (after getting the OKC relaxed) to throw in a package from the get-go.

There’s 0 pressure in a rebuild, If they’re fully committed that’s cake.

When you have Jimmy Bam and Lowry it’s championship or bust. We aren’t In this for participation trophies

It honestly feels unrealistic. The other thing we are neglecting is that not all picks are equal value. Say we have 5 picks heck make it 6, they cant match 4 unprotected picks from the Knicks. Thats reality, it's not just a numbers game but the quality of the picks and ours because we run a good organization compared to other teams will always have a lower value.

And when the rebuild doesn’t work then what? Only one team can win it every year, I think we’d all like to be that team but it just doesnt work that way every season. This is the instant gratification era but the solution isnt to blow it up every time you lose. Sometimes teams have to knock on the door for a few years before they get through.

People will freak out when they realize that Pat won't be here for a full rebuild. Who is widely expected to succeed him as the basketball decision maker for the Heat? Erik Spoelstra.

Return to Miami Heat
