What HS team did you hoop for?

My parents moved a lot, so I played for Boone HS (Orlando), Oak Ridge HS (Orlando), Taravella HS (Coral Springs), and Pine Castle Christian Academy (Orlando).

Planned on playing college for Southeastern, offer was made, but blew out knee during that summer and offer was pulled.

Anyone else play in FL?

HS - Played for Box Hill Senior (Australia) Ben Simmons and Dyson Daniels went on to attend the school

College - Got lots of LowD1 offers but ended taking a scholarship at NSU in Fort Lauderdale, SoFlo surely does beat going to college in Idaho, Alabama, North Dakota

Nova is a good school. I spent some good time in my 20s living in FTL, fast lifestyle. Lost lots of money at the Hardrock

Its a great school, great time there, lots of fond memories. Looking forward to getting back down there next year and reconnecting with everyone

An elementary school dropout here. So no HS ball.

But did street ball at UCF during my bachelors, and some intramural stuff at Uni Wisconsin when I was a graduate student.

It's all video games now for me as a one-legged hooper. (( Never got my blown ACL repaired ))

Played against Gateway in 03. Remember the gym having a real yellowish Hue to it, almost like the lights hadn't been changed in decades lol

Only played JV for one year being the next year at Canton High School in Michigan I had to emancipate myself at 16 and started working 6 days a week to pay bills. I slept through the rest of high school. I used to play pickup games with players from University of Wyoming and sometimes UCF in the gym and regularly with intramurals. Probably my best ball was in Gus Macker 3 on 3 tournaments in mid 20's when I was at my peak. The only sport I played for at the University levels was one year of Rugby at UCF. Most fun I had in college with those guys. Best parties all time. Team meetings involved 5 kegs of beer. I did play 2 years in a soccer league of mostly ex pro players many of which were international. I was recruited to play on a team of players mostly from Holland. We played against the US pro team and I got thrown out of the game due to retaliating to their dirty play. We got whupped badly like 8-4. I used to be ultra competitive in all sports as I really liked to win. I even broke a few tennis rackets trying to play tennis tournaments of which I lost every tournament.
