Adam Hanga is Leandro Barbosa with better defence.

Hungarians have such a terrible feel for the game. Missed a shot, 21 seconds remaining, trailing by 2, Gobert grabs a rebounds...
ANd no one fouls Gobert, it took them 6 seconds to figure out they need to foul. geezuz.

Yeah, I have no idea why they didn't foul Gobert right away there. They missed some precious time.

LA 2028 (Starters):
Francisco - Strazel - Malédon - Traoré ?
Coulibaly - Fournier
Risacher - Cordinier
Yabusele- Hoard - Essengue/Penda?
Wembanyama - Lessort - Raynaud / Beringer /Sarr?

Hungary tried hard but they made a couple of mistakes at the end, missed some shots and came up short. France didn't look great but they needed this win and they got it.

Maaaan, we almost beat France! I saw that Vojvoda 3 going through the net down 2 at 74-72. I played against #22 at 15 in a youth tournament. He guarded Doncic yesterday, today he switches onto Gobert…

Luka is attempting 7.3 three pointers a game. He makes 18.2% of those.

A and B group games are classics. now back to C and D group games

There have been some good games in these groups. Both of Israel's games were close, both of Greece's games were close and the Estonia-Ukraine game came down to the wire.

But, yeah, groups A and B look to be bonkers.

22 seconds were lost from the clock on Georgia - Turkey game also Georgian players provoke Turkish players on the court and attack them in the locker room with Georgian police, Nice job FIBA .

That's not necessarily FIBA's fault though, unless the mistake was choosing Georgia as a host. I wouldn't be surprised if the stories is true. At the same time, I'm not sure if it would be fair to only choose "safe" or "less corrupt" countries, like Germany, Switzerland and Denmark as host nations.

I chuckled when I saw that FIBA has Rudy Fernandez listed as Rodolfo Fernandez.

Is Spain trying to avoid Lithuania in play-offs?

 at Spain trying to choose a matchup.

As far as I'm concerned, reaching the best of 16 round and losing by less than 15 to whichever rival we face will be a success for us.

Still rooting because they're showing heart.

Spain has been known for doing that though. Not sure it makes much sense in this tournament with this current roster, but they have been known for avoiding certain matchups or throwing games, like in 2008 when they let the US crush them in the group stage game and then went all out in the final.

Jonas and Alperen are my two most favorite players in the world, but all I care right now is Lithuania getting out of the group.
