Phantom offsides call against Villa.

BTW, that's Coutinho playing a minor role for a middling at best EPL side.

Remember when he set the transfer record at the time when he went to Barca? Didn't do anything for them and now he's back with a club which never plays in Europe.

Makes you think that these transfer fees are based on recency bias, a player has a very good season and clubs are willing to throw caution to the wind to try to buy him.

It's rare but I enjoy being right now and then.

Also have Bailey in my FPL team, right on.

We had people on the planet, who tried to convince everyone, including themselves, that Nunez signing was just as good or even better than Haaland. Thats a good sad laugh. Also, good win for Spurs, but I will never understand why some players have such an urge to take their shirt off when celebrating the goal. Like why? Even if it wasnt against the rules, I wouldnt get it, but when its automatic yellow, I especially don't get it. If you take of your shirt, it is automatic -10 bro points and -10 fan points.

ANTONY!

A little bit against the run of play for United but that's a tidy goal.

There was way more skepticism when it came to Haaland than there should have been. As soon as it happened, I told my friends that he was going to bag 40 goals and break the single season record by a wide margin, and well here we are. (They thought I was insane, and that Jesus was going to be the guy) He's a GOAT tier finisher from a pure skill standpoint, and with all of the help he'll get from that City side, he'll be roaming freely to punch them home all season.

Can't believe United haven't brought Casemiro on when they're being completely overrun in midfield. It was so obvious Arsenal were going to score.

Terrible defensively from McTominay to allow that inside pass.

Well United still offer a lot on the break. Great pass, but sloppy from Arsenal to concede so quickly.

United are literally manhandling the smaller Arsenal players, especially Jesus. they're pulling them down and finally a couple of yellow cards for some obvious pulldowns.

But they let a lot more go .

Arsenal though, fails the real first test of the season.

Probably the best we’ve looked since Gerrard took over, we look a lot better without McGinn in the side and actually playing with width lol.

You must be strong favourites in the relegation/sack the bosses match next weekend
I remember when the Dolphins were perennial contenders

You think so? Lol most Villa fans still think we'll get beat by you guys, we make it a habit for as long as I've been alive that we give teams their first win/goal etc. We love to snap streaks or break records(not the good kind either). I think Gerrard is on a game-by-game basis with our board.

He seemed to go back to what was working for him early, but I think he only did that because we played City and was forced to. 37 year old Ashley Young was one of the reasons we put up more of a fight against City.

I've seen a few Leicester fans on socials, saying they would want Dyche as a manager.

What do people think of Thomas Frank for a team like Leicester?

Tuchel gone - it's the fofana effect

Chelsea can have Rodgers right now.

Would be a good appointment, the problem with Brentford though is they will not allow their assistants to follow him. However I think he's one of the most underrated managers around, in fact I'll say as of now he is the most underrated manager in the prem. It was Potter, but he's getting his plaudits.

It's a bit crazy to me, they gave him 300 million to spend and sack him after 6 games? However I've seen a report saying its not about the results, he (Tuchel) is apparently 'difficult' to deal with at board level. Tbh new owners want their own staff, so Tuchel was always on a bit of borrowed time they probably want nothing to do with Roman at the club.

I've seen Potter, Poch and Zidane are the favourites.

Looks like it's Potter in at Chelsea. Thoughts?

A great manager with a growing reputation for sure, but I wonder if it's too soon. It feels like a difficult job with the malaise hanging over it, even with the wealth of resources available at the club.

I would say it's a perfect fit. Don't have much more to add to that.

Good coach, good guy, good footballing ethos.
