Slovenia is really having a motivation issue with much weaker teams. Won't be much of an issue if they make it to the semis thankfully.

I am not 100% sure, but I think it is still the relic from EuroCup days:

Does anyone know if Jaleen Smith has any connection to Croatia or did they just straight up hire him? Has he ever even visited Croatia? I'm also interested what kind of salary Croatia pays him for playing for team Croatia or what is his motive behind playing for Croatia?

His Wiki page doesn't say about his connections to Croatia. I think that those connections don't exist.

My understanding is that after Finland eliminated Croatia from the World Cup qualifiers and Croatia realized how weak their backcourt is they panicked and paid this guy to play for Croatia. The dates align pretty well.

Garuba needs to find a way to play in Europe again. Would love to see him play Eurocup. Not because it's inferior to Euroleague, but cause he would have a bigger role on offense and could expand his game.

His ceiling is looking more and more like Felipe Reyes. For those who don't know, Felipe Reyes was one of Europe's best true role players ever. He was an unathletic but intelligent player who knew how to position himself well and get key offensive rebounds.

I don't see Garuba amounting to much more, judging by his skill development.

Yea Fernandez is showing why those teams were so dominant so for so long: heart, hustle and timely shots. Add to that two all stars in the Gasol brothers haha. That's just unfair.

Lol Sabonis is just horrible. Inb4 someone claims it was the coaches fault, but the dude travelled, then went 1-2 on his FTs and then sets a screen that was an obvious charging foul.
