JFC - what a break....

Mexico in the quarters and the winner of DR/BRA if they advance to the semis? This torunament is so garbage compared the Eurobasket. Really the only two teams that are heavy favorites over this awful Canada squad are ARG and USA and both are avoided.

The frickin irony if this teams keep falling forward into the semis or even finals.

Even more ironic is that Canada has literally never "fallen forward" in any international tourney in my memory!! LOL

Lol exactly its about time we fall forward for once. I swear I've never seen a international team with more bad luck and heartbreak than Canada for the amount of talent they have.

Lets get this win vs Mexico and maybe we finally get hot from 3 in the finals and sneak out a win.

tied 30 at the half. neither team shooting well and kind of fugly. at least they got mex sniper in foul trouble and benched.

All over but the free throws. Mexico really wanted this, and their experience showed in the final minutes. This is good pressure environment for Delano to learn.

Great win. Beating Brazil in the semis would do wonders for the FIBA ranking.

For a team that wasn't expected to do much they sure are a gritty bunch. Big win for Canada. Delano took over a bit there and helped create some seperation. This tournaments been huge for his growth.

Final Score - Canada Wins 82-77

Delano with 17/4/7 with 2 steals and 4 TOs. 4/5 from 2. 1/6 from 3. So overall pretty good, but the usual 3PT & TO concerns to be wary of.

This is a well coached team. Especially on defense. Not a lot of offensive talent out there. Banton held it down out there

This seemed like more of a team win than previous games, but Banton is still clearly driving the bus. It'll be interesting to see how far they can go. It's starting to become reminiscent of the RJ Barrett juniors championship, or some of the early Steve Nash tournaments, where one guy just puts the team on his back.

Fittingly, Abu Kigab was also on that juniors team, although in that one he was the Robin to Barrett's Batman, whereas in this case it seems to be Bell-Haynes.
