The sea is just parting for him. What absolute trash defense.

In my opinion the refs were favouring the croatians for the first 3 quarters.

I don't even mean athletically. Just seems dumbfounded about what to do. Absolute awful decisions with the ball.

One of the more surprising things this tournament to me, was the fact Markovic is Croatia's closing center, not Zubac. And do not forget Zizic was cut all together, is this Markovic kid that good, I know nothing about him?

Fouls were something like 22-13 and two of the croatian’s fouls were techs

It' s Matkovic, and no, nothing special about him. Only reason I see is the fact that Zubac is way too slow, especially with the way Finland plays.

Edit: looks like Zubac is injured, so there is that

Wasnt Saric touted as a wonderkid before coming to the NBA?

Sorry, Matkovic, yes. But from what I remember, Zubac was not playing crunch minutes in almost none of these games, it is almost always Matkovic, which I was very surprised at first.

Matkovic is a great athlete, quick on his feet.
Zubac would be run off the floor if he played again this fast paced finish team.

And all this after Croatia missed free throws on purpose in the final group game so they would get to play Finland... :D

He was one of the greatest junior players ever, but after joining Euroleague, I think it was obvious that his junior dominance will not fully translate to highest levels. But yes, young Saric was amazing, his passing was incredible, I badly hoped he would turn into new Sabonis. Funny enough, chubby guy from Serbia no one knew about, became just that, even better, while Saric is just a spot up shooter and very rarely distributor from high post.
