Bears Lead Up

Post#1 » by MickeyDavis » Mon Sep 12, 2022 3:26 pm

SNF, Packers open as 9.5 point favorites. Never overlook the Bears, or any division team. After last years opening week crushing we reeled off 7 straight wins. And we have a favorable schedule the next few games other than at Tampa. Chicago, both NY teams, Washington, New England....

I don't want to rehash the Vikings game, we need to do better on both sides of the ball.

I don't have a good feeling about Bakh. Going on 2 years and 3 surgeries. Jenkins hopefully is back. Lazard isn't a real difference maker but at this point I guess we need him.

More touches for Jones please.

Continue solid special teams play.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Jones and Dillon should be out there together consistently.

It sounds like all 3 of Bahktiari, Jenkins, and Lazard are unlikely to play again, we should still be able to handle the Bears though. We are a better team in basically every facet in this matchup even without those 3

Need to see what the offense looks like with both tackles in there. Need to give Jones more than 8 touches.

RBs were getting 6 yards a carry... But only 15 carries

I hadn't realized that Runyan came out of the game with a concussion.

(I pretty much mute the TV announcers - so if it was mentioned there, that's why I missed it)

Caleb Jones signed to the 53. I am actually pretty excited about him as a prospect.

Fox badly needs Brady to retire. Olsen might be very good someday, but he's an average at best sidekick right now

I turned it off at halftime. Did he keep raving about the new Minny offense even though they ended up with 11 fewer points than last year's game at their place?

Bold assuming that milquetoast little twerp will be a good broadcaster.

Still plenty of time in the first half though. Ignoring their drives inside 2 minutes, they had 14 passes to 7 runs in the first half despite only being down 7-10 points. A very strange imbalance considering MLF is usually pretty good about that stuff. Maybe trying to get in as many reps as possible early on for Rodgers and his new WR group

Seems like the tape is showing that WRs were open but Rodgers missed them or the line caved too quickly.

I bet if you looked at the all 22 for every incompletion/sack for every QB you'd almost always see a receiver open that the QB "didn't see".

When you're QB is supposedly the best, he should be finding them....IF his line gives him time.

Yeah to me the most concerning aspect of that game was the oline. I was a little confused by people critical of the WRs, not because I thought they played well but more because I didn't think Rodgers had enough time to really judge them in that game.
