You're not wrong in the big picture; I just don't like how the Pistons marketing team is pivoting away from the classic designs and colors to chase flame emojis from 15 year olds on Instagram. The ugly court design they used last season was another example (hopefully the classic one is coming back this year).
And this post is how I realize I've officially become an old man.
Sure. Especially given that in general it's likely that the biggest mouths complaining about jersey designs being old/outdated are buying neither jerseys nor tickets. As I've said previously I'm a fan of the red/white/blue scheme with a basketball logo. I don't mind white, blue or red as the base color, or even gray or black for that matter, if it still incorporates red/white/blue somewhere. Throw some modern updates on the font (which they did) and I'm fine with it.
I have one Pistons jersey, a blue road jersey of Jason Maxiell (I wanted Antonio McDyess but they were sold out and Maxiell was on sale) which I think is still the same design as the current blue road jersey. That's good enough for me. It gets worn to games and that's about it.
