Voted Jimmy, though if Kawhi were to come back at close to what he was, he’d be the better player— just too uncertain. I’m still not buying Tatum at the level of those guys, though he may well get there, and he’s still very young.

Taking a recent 3x DPOY over those guys? Kawhi has 2 x Finals MVPs, but we all know his health history. Butler, I don't have confidence he can maintain his level at 33. Tatum is still ascending.

So yes, Gobert over those guys. I think Chris Finch will better maximise his capabilities.

So yes, Gobert over those guys. I think Chris Finch will better maximise his capabilities.

We have seen Gobert taken advantage in the playoffs time and time again. Those other 3 guys seem to elevate their games in the playoffs. When we are talking about the top 10 players in the league, i think playoffs should matter more than the regular season.

I do expect to see a couple new faces in the top ten this season, though - new as in younger players taking a significant step up and forward in their capabilities and confidence, rather than trying to assess which of the long-in-the-tooth guys will manage to be healthier than they've been for a couple years without losing a step. With all that in mind, Morant strikes me as a player who has room to grow as a leader and clutch scorer while being at worst decent defensively.

ACL tears are hard to overcome. Especially if you are on the wrong side of 30. I think we have seen peak Leonard before his injury and we sadly will never see that version again. : /

Peak Leonard would be #2 on this list. #8 seems pretty reasonable to me.
