Clippers should load manage him.

He needs to be healthy and ready for the playoffs. Let the regular team take care of the season with him playing some key games.

Because god forbid the guy gets injured again, I dunno if there’ll be a coming back.

That's the whole joke lol the media announcing Kawhi will play in the 1st game as if it means anything. He's going to "load manage" as best as he possibly can so it's not really big news when he sat out the season, he should be playing in the 1st game quite easily. The joke is we all know it's very unlikely the majority of the season.

Glad he's healthy. Hope he stays that way.

That said, he'll probably load manage half the season and that just rubs me the wrong way.

Kawhi has it easy outside of the chronic injuries, hes haphazardly expected to show up.

2 years off? He got injured in the middle of the 2021 playoffs and didn’t have surgery until after the finals. So more like 14 months. Not that unusual for an ACL.

Wasn’t he limping the entire late season+playoffs with Toronto and playing in pain? I remember it being a topic on broadcasts. Not to say Toronto didn’t handle him better etc, but someone hitting your knee on a drive isn’t something good medical management can prevent.
