I think it’s more like Harden maintains, Maxey gets to 20-22, and Embiid drops to 26-27 ppg. I don’t see Embiid chasing a scoring title again and Maxey should be the one shouldering a bit more of the scoring burden.
Yeah don't see that happening. Joel is right at the middle of his prime and is a potent scorer. You don't neuter your best scorer to acccomodate an aging vet who lost his burst and a 3rd year player who lacks a size up/ handle.

You do if you want to reduce his burden and keep him as healthy as possible for the playoffs. He should never have a USG% north of 33/34 again, especially given the unique circumstances of last year. Asking him to score 30 ppg when we have plenty of weapons would be unwise imo.
I agree.
First off, it’s close to impossible for a player and totally impossible for Embiid, to anchor both ends of the floor. Only guy who can do that right now is Giannis.
Second, winning the MVP is extremely hard. Specially when you are going against an analytics anomaly like Jokic and the closest thing to Bruce Willis in unbreakable in Giannis. Embiid pretty much have to decide whether to win the MVP or the championship. LeBron is also going after his MVP trophy because he has no chance to win the championship.
Third, embiid trying to win the MVP hurts our team. By trying to win the MVP, he has to get his 30 per game average. And the only way to do that is playing drop coverage on defense. This type of defense does not work in the playoffs, thats the reason why Jokic, Embiid and Gobert always fall short in the playoffs. And also the reason why we added three guys who can improve on our ability to play switch defense from day 1.
Playing switch defensive scheme is not something you can just turn the switch on, it’s heavy on read and react. It’s like running the triangle offense, where you need guys who are familiar with one another.
Best example of this was when the Bucks won the championship back in 2018-2019. They run a heavy switch defensive scheme that received a lot of criticisms back then during the reg season but by the playoffs, they were running 5 man units of Jrue-Khris-PJ-Giannis-Portis that is as good as it gets when it comes to length and switchability that it could neutralize any 2 man game the Suns throw at them
Lastly, you have the best 2nd option scorer in the league, the best 3rd option scorer in the league, the best 4th option scorer in the league and probably the best 6 man scorer in the league. And you still decide to get your 30 per game? You got to have that Mamba mentality or should i say.. Melo mentality in you
There’s never been a time in history when we look back and say that the people who were censoring free speech were the good guys.
