Why do the rich get to control everything these days? It's complete baloney!

We should have a system or maybe day of the week where ticket prices are based on the customers age and income level. It's not right that all the time the richest person gets to watch the game in person because only he could afford that. Richie Rich shouldn't get to see 50 games a year because his great granddad invented candy bars.

Are you gonna be the one to tell Little Jimmy that he can't go to the game because his deadbeat dad spent all the family money on pot edibles and Andy Capps hot fries, and only bought tickets for the missus and himself? I wouldn't want to. Little Jimmy's ticket costs 1 dollar under the new system.

There would of course be stipulations- you have to go with your parent, groups of teenagers are dispersed immediately - but it would allow more income challenged citizens to attend basketball matches.

Thoughts???

I believe the NBA already gives tickets away to underprivileged kids. I remember seeing stories as well about NBA players giving free game tickets to disadvantaged children based on school performance etc. It's not like attending NBA games is a human right or anything. Providing other means of earning tickets to youth who can otherwise not afford it e.g. academic performance seems like a much better initiative.

The last game I went to included a local supermarket deal where I'd get free tickets if I bought a certain brand of toilet paper and my total grocery bill was $50+. That's what I get for going into education, though.

If you're still broke after all the money the government threw to people and crazy job opportunities in the past 2 years, I truly feel bad for how people's financials will look in the next 3-5 years. Not looking good for anyone. Good luck to you.

Lol Typically wealthy people either worked smart, worked hard in the right places at the right times, or created something that affected the life of the masses positively and it allows them to live a certain level of life.

Just do it too.

Who's to say you could still afford the ticket price if it was based on your new plan. lol

So when I want to buy tickets for a game I have to submit my tax returns and bank accounts to an NBA team or a ticketing agency?

Seems legit.

Ignoring the trolling - ticket prices are ridiculous and normal people can't afford good seats. OP raises a good point

Plenty of normal people afford good seats. If you make at least 100k, you should be able to buy a few lower bowl tickets per year, or even a partial plan/half a season depending on location.

Supply and demand. Lower the ticket prices, and the scalpers will make the money.

And I am sure you would want your employer to apply the same strategy, and accordingly adjust your salary.

100k???

A HUNDRED K??????

what is wrong with you people . . Gluttons addicted to money

I'm talking about the Little Jimmy's of the world... The poor, the cripples, the disenfranchised who never had a good day... They should get to go to an NBA basketball game once. For fun. Who gives a dam about politics? I'm talking about NBA BASKETBALL GAMES. It's not about friggin Democrats ajd Republicans! They're a bunch of dummies!

Not right that Richie gets to buy everything. Some things in life should be egalitarian, actually ALL the best things in life are egalitarian... Roads, plumbing, electricity, all made and paid for by workers... Available to the common man at a discount.

All the money what government thru, Americans got less than a $1000 for a month, CANs got like 1500, and although jobs are starting to hire now, wages are **** across the board. The government's did the bare minimum....

Corporations got money and tax brakes and still fire their employees like the airline industry

I just looked up a random suns game in November. Decent seats are $220 a piece.

So for a family of 4 to go you’re talking $1000. For one game. That’s ridiculous
