Danny Ainge has said he’s too old for a long rebuild, and with that in mind, which star does the Jazz go for?
Luka- We have the picks
Jaylen Brown- Ainge is a fan
Joel Embiid- could be likely if they keep failing
Any other ideas of who we could spend our picks on?
Future moves

Re: Future moves
I wish the Jazz could #TradeForCade but who knows what Cade Cunningham’s ceiling is or how much Detroit values him.

We have all the picks, I wouldn’t say it’s unrealistic

Re: Future moves
Luka and Embiid are never happening, and Brown doesn't move the needle.
Jazz are going to need to draft smartly for their star piece, and get complementary pieces through trade.

Re: Future moves
A lot depends on development and actual play level of current roster players. If the "cannon" aka Lauri or the Italian gangster (nicknames because I don't want to figure out how to spell their names, lol), or some of the youth we just got, develop well and become fringe all stars (big "IF" I know) and we draft our future all star in this years draft (top 2 picks). At that point I could see us using many of our others draft picks to bring in some top tier talent to finish the rebuild. But a lot has to fall in to place and we would have to get lucky for that quick of a rebuild. I don't see any of the stars mentioned in OP coming to the Jazz or even being available. I could see some of OKC's talent becoming available once they have to start paying them, similar to last time with Durant, Westbrook, and Harden.

Why put Luka's name here? Why in the world would Dallas trade him for picks?

This is ridiculous....... Maybe in 15 years you'll be able to acquire Luka for picks.......

Re: Future moves
Unless the Cavs or TWolves unexpectedly suck, the Jazz will have to “earn” their own top 5 picks the next couple of years. Very different than the Celtics situation with the Nets picks. This is why, IMO, it would have been better to take a lesser Knicks package, as there would have been a decent chance they would have sucked, increasing our odds of hitting in the draft. Then, if the Jazz can hit on one or more of their several tank seasons, they can use the other picks to acquire the complementary pieces. We might have a couple complimentary pieces now, such as in Markanen, but the timing doesn’t work out.
This will probably take at least 3-4 years, perhaps longer.
