I think that ship has sailed but I agree that the path is there for him to be an important stabilizing cog in the offense along with Lazard/Cobb while the rookies continue to get acclimated. He needs to stay healthy though.

You can probably say the same thing for Cobb. He needs to stay healthy too.

King got a lot of stick, and sometimes rightfully so, but idk how he isnt on a team right now. He's clearly better than probably a 1/3 of all cbs out there. You could certainly do worse if he's your 3rd option as an outside CB.

I'm amazed a sizable number of fans think Dillon is a better player.

Both are good. We realize that can be a thing right? Part of what makes Jones look as good as he did last night is Dillon dealing punishment over and over right up the gut. That wears a defense down and when they get hit with Jones speed, it's a fastball after seeing change ups all night.

I really think accumulated injuries robbed him of the speed needed to be a starter, but that wasn't apparent right off and it didn't connect with fan expectations either.

Wonder how much Lazard being back helped the run game. Dudes such a good blocker and really helps the outside run game.

Eh, they ran it fine last week. If anything it just shows how much Rodgers needs (prioritizes?) his veteran pass-catchers. Lazard/Cobb/Watkins/Jones combined for 181 of his 234 passing yards. Watson/Tonyan/Doubs/Dillon? 8 combined catches for 53 yards. I'd still like to see them draw up some more shot plays for Watson going forward, but it seems like right now they only wanna use him on those jet sweeps and bubble screens.

really good to see them get out of this game healthy . if they can steal the game in Tampa (not scared of their offense), the schedule lightens up Pats Jets Giants Commanders... lulz. could put them in position to go on a run. Health is going to be key for this team as they are extremely thin.

In fairness, why would the Bears pass the ball when they were routinely getting 10 yards a carry. I would've run it on 3-and-20 against this defense.

I hope they clean up the interior run blocking.

Tom should be starting over Newman and I really see no evidence to the contrary that can be brought to the table. He had a great camp and played well in his snaps verses Minny. Newman has been a liability every game he's been in the lineup. That change needs to be made.

All things considered, Myers is still a low-mileage sophomore, so up-and-down performances are realistic. Last week, he was the only OLineman who LaFleur singled out for a good performance.

Jenkins debut, after 10 months recuperation had up-and-down moments too, but that also should be expected for now. Still better than Newman at RT. Newman may develop with time, but right now, he's not an NFL starter-grade tackle

Tom is a better guard right now as well, without a doubt.

Is Neuman actually bad at G? I feel like he makes a mistake here and there but overall he's held up. That holding call last night was weak. I don't think he's a T I want going against good edge rushers but at G he seems fine. He's a lot bigger than Tom so that helps in the run game.

For a backup Newman is more then fine. He's just not someone you want as a preferred starter. Which is also fine

I remember him not being great at G last year. Would be fine with Tom taking that RG spot if everyone's healthy. Line was moving fools when Tom went in at LG a week ago.

Two big plays by rookies yesterday. 1) the Doubs screen, shifty and athletic! I even wonder if he had gone to the left of Nijman instead of to the right he would've been gone. 2) Quay Walker stopping Fields short of the goal line. Speed to catch him, even after stopping his steps at Fields' little juke.

Quay has some fire, speed, emotion out there. Not something we've seen at inside lb in a long time.
