No way of knowing of course. 03, 06, and 07 were all championship level teams without Deke and with solid but far from spectacular center play. 04 had all the offensive talent in the world but played Antoine Walker at center. And everyone of those other teams were 50+ win teams.

So anywhere from 0-4 feels reasonable, considering stuff happens, the Lakers/Spurs still exist along with a smattering of other strong West teams in specific years. I think on paper the Mavs are the best team in the world from 03-07 though.

‘97–‘00 Mutumbo is about as impactful a defender as there has ever been for players we have data for. A team like the 2007 Mavs who were a -3.3 rDRtg team with the likes of Diop and Dampier playing center would become an all-time all-time type team. I can see 2-3 titles possible though battles with Lakers and Spurs would be something.
