For goodness sakes, THIS IS TAKING FOREVER!!!

Post#1 » by Pistonrings » Sat Sep 24, 2022 1:24 am

Each day feels like it is taking a damn week. Please, someone do some Einstein physics, some worm hole into the future. I just want to get to the 1st preseason game, I'm not even stressing over the 1st season game, I'll be thrilled just to get to the preseason game so we can see Ivey and Cade together.

I know, I'll do like Reeves did in that old movie, "Somewhere in time", but I'll go to the future instead of the past. I need to lock my bedroom door, put on my Pistons jersey and hat, really make myself believe it is only a few minutes until game time, help me really believe it guys, do you think we'll win tonight?

Imagine you skipped forward only to realize at tipoff that Russel Westbrook is starting, in a Pistons uniform.

I hope that thought helps you chill. Things could be much worse.

I was the same way 20 years ago. I was very excited for Drummond I remember and I was really entertained for his first few years. The problem with sports is injuries ruin it all. For example Cade didn’t play beginning of last season that bothered me. When he did start to play he missed every shot pretty much. Took him time and the team kept losing. Don’t expect too much fun but I definitely l understand where you’re coming from. We’ve never had this athleticism in the whole history of the organization.

Could be great.

Cade is on a superstar trajectory - but he has leg contusions (like SGA) cough cough.

Pistons trade for Westbrook and two Laker's picks that turn into top picks once GM Lebron leaves.

Pistons end up losing a ton of exciting games with Ivey/Westbrook tandem. Get a top 3 pick and land another star.

Detroit has to hit up the bargain bin to fill out the roster. Tristan Thompson, Ben McClemore and Jeremy Lamb talk about what a great opportunity to play for a franchise with a rich history.
Cade starts to question the organization for having Bey and himself sit out games. Westbrook plays hero ball trying to set up another contract without much opposition. Ivey learns terrible habits playing with Westbrook. We wind up with the 4th worst record (Jazz and Thunder aren’t letting anyone take it from them, Rockets stay 3rd) but the lottery gods give us the 7th pick overall.

No thank you

Return to Detroit Pistons
