Superior talented teammates in the NBA help create space.
Take a European roster to the NBA and the game for him will be hard as well.

Just cancel 3 defensive seconds violation and allow more contact in a game and Nba will become much harder too. Smaller courts don't help either.

Inb4 all posters saying these players know nothing and the game in Europe is easier because the players there are worse.

Smaller courts inferior players at all positions both defensively and offensively... Yeah I can see that.

With Giannis specifically having no Middleton to close games must be rough.

Fair enough.

I'd love to see the worst NBA teams play against the best EuroLeague teams. Maybe a 1 and 1. NBA vs Euro rules.

If this is true, then the players in Europe must be trash otherwise they could get into the NBA where it's easier than Europe.

A lot of guys who can't make it in the NBA go to Europe, guys who can't make it in Europe go get a job.

Lol why is it so hard to accept from players that actually played in it that it's harder, I don't watch EuroLeague but I'll take their word for it, it means nothing to me if they work harder. I need to see the highest standard of play, even if there's more teamwork and less divas elsewhere.

It doesn't mean the level in Europe is higher, just that the rules are harder.

Exactly. The NBA can have superior talent overall and still make playing offense a lot easier than with other leagues. Those things are not mutually exclusive.

Well probably because in Europe they take the fundamentals of basketball seriously and it's not all fast breaks, dunks, and 3s and superstars crying every play.

European basketball is so much more pure

Harder to do what? Put up your raw numbers? I’m pretty sure if Giannis played with the team he’s on over there in the NBA, he not only wouldn’t have a ring, he wouldn’t have been in the playoffs yet

It’s the easy way of saying “my national team sucks compared to my NBA teammates”

This. The rules make it more difficult for players in general, but that doesn't mean that every player can thrive in the nba game with easier rules.
The defensive 3 seconds rule is great because opens up the paint, but that doesn't mean that European players with less 1 on 1 skill and especially athleticism than NBA guys could actually take advantage of that rule.
So many people who attain the heights of power in this culture—celebrities, for instance—have to make a show of false humility and modesty, as if they got as far as they did by accident and not by ego or ambition.

The Nba was the same but with much more athletic players 10 to 15 years ago and it was more strategic. Now it's all much more easy to score it's true.

In Europe you have to win as a team and as Giannis said the players there are big not athletics as in the Nba but they are solid you don't move them easy in the Fiba games Giannis look smaller than in the Nba.

For example Luka when he won all in his last year in Europe he was a player much more orientated as team player than now and he was in a team without a real leader being him the best player. If you are the only main creator your team is going to be **** at the end because the teams in Fiba know how to win only as team they are well structured and make the plays that their coach said always. It's a much more strategic game and with the coach having much more importance than in the Nba. Plus the rules said.

Facts. I'm not rolling with this idea that Europe is way harder when I've seen scrubs by NBA standards excel against "Inferior competition". Now I'll agree that certain rule changes can make the game harder IE: No defensive three seconds ; which IMO changes everything.

He is 100% correct. When I transitioned from youth to senior team (better teammates), the game became much easier for me even though I played against far superior players. Thats what happens in NBA vs FIBA. Add to that different rules and the difference gets even bigger.
