Could just be from a higher pace in play maybe. We were the 2nd slowest team in the league last year

I get Miami were 3rd lowest in pace but the highest paced team was only 5 possessions more a game with the middle only 2 possessions higher.

Looking at what's expected...
Bam more shots.
Oladipo more shots.
In better shape Lowry... more shots?'
Vincent... more? He's seems like he's being setup as the next starting PG.
Yurtseven more shots.
Duncan around the same?
Strus around the same.
Butler around the same
Herro around the same.
Whoever takes Tucker's spot will shoot more.

Herro needs less and I think we see the specialist lose a couple shots. Factor that in with a faster pace and we’re good to go. Lowry doesn’t need more.

Lowry
Strus
Butler
Martin
Bam
Herro
Dipo
Gabe
Duncan
Yurt
Dedmon

1 or possibly 2 of those guys aren’t in the rotation if we’re at full health so their shots will be going to others unless needed
Your dreaming about playing a faster pace

Under Spo, I think our team will never be a fast paced team. We're always ranked bottom 5 in pace every year

Bam at 18 shots a game projects to score 26.5 a game lol. I see him closer to 15-16 shots averaging 22-23.

I'm still wondering where all these shots are coming from. People already say Lowry didn't shoot enough, Butler already doesn't shoot much in the regular season, whoever takes Tucker's spot will probably shoot more, Oladipo will be taking a solid amount of shots wherever he is in the rotation and of course whoever the 3pt shooter(s) are have a green light to take shots.
18 is way to much for Bam and it was too much for Herro who average a lot of the season at 18. Bam, Herro and Butler should hover around 15 to 16. Lowry should be around 12. Strus, Duncan, Vincent whoever is the lead 3 pt specialist shouldn't average more than 10. 18 and above should be for elite scorers.

Bams on another level than Herro and he consistently has a mismatch. It’s time to fully unlock his play.

That’s what it’s starting to look like. High volume shooters next to Jimmy and Bam to open the floor for them (Jimmy and Bam hopefully shooting some 3s themselves). That defense scares me

Bam is not a better scorer than Herro. Herro as a scorer is inline with all the dudes you dream of trading him for outside the real elites like Durant

That will work offensively during the regular season, I don't know if this would win against a Boston, Milwaukee, Philly, Brooklyn Series where you have a mismatch at the PF, with another capable scorer at center where you cannot just hide your tiny PF on one of them.

I don’t give a damn If he can score in more ways than Herro; you give Bam 17 shots and I know for damn sure he’s scoring more than Herro did last year

But I meant Bam as a player is on another level than Herro and I’d love to see someone try to prove otherwise.

Do we really need this? We’re almost at training camp, and then pre-season games. Surely we can drop the posturing now.

No posturing needed, I said Bams on another level and will give us more scoring on more efficiency. If that upsets some of you get over it

That’s no disrespect to Tyler I’m just saying you cant compare what Tyler does to Bam because Bams on another level. We don’t know how many shots are considered “too much” for Bam.

It was a pointless post after your reply directly before. If you want to add a clarification press the edit button. If you want to posture (which you did), then do what Grumpy does and start a “I have an opinion and I dare someone to fight me” thread.

You contribute some great stuff, but then there’s this stuff as well.

I’m done with it, hopefully they both ball out. If not the season is pretty pointless

I honestly don’t think we need that much internal improvement. Those two should be slightly better, or at least more efficient. Dipo will be more consistent & show us more than just the odd flash.

That really just leaves replacing PJ’s D. That’s not coming from anyone currently on the roster.

I’m excited for the season, but know that we need at least one more roster move to be back in the ECF. That & reassurance that Lowry isn’t about to go full pout.

A move is definitely needed, maybe 2. It’d be so disappointing if Jimmy never wins a ring here.

People were thrown off by Lowrys comments today but I personally don’t see an issue with it. I think he’ll be fine, was probably embarrassed by what Riley said and didn’t want to shine much light on it. They’ll definitely talk before the season if they haven’t already
