Re: Week 3 Discussion
Its a low IQ way of looking at it by the younger generation Cowboy fans. Dak's the greatest and they will lick Jerry's azz for another 26 years before they figure it out. They have no clue what it take to be a championship team.

Re: Week 3 Discussion
There are 11 players on the offense, and then there's a whole other side of the ball that the offense has nothing to do with. Kind of silly to put all the blame on one guy for a team not winning a lot of post season games.
Statistically, Dak has put up numbers and the Cowboys under him have had more consistent team success than even when Romo was the QB. It's not all him obviously, but he's done his job well. The lack of post season success is a combination of the Cowboys being the Cowboys and injuries. And yeah, Dak hasn't been perfect, but when a good QB doesn't play well in the post season, it's way more likely that the whole team isn't playing as well, and not because he all of a sudden decided to choke. These are professionals at the highest level of the sport, they don't really "choke". That's a super basic and archaic explanation for why a player doesn't perform as well. Especially since his playoff numbers aren't even that bad.

And actually, by advanced metrics, Dak has been an elite regular season QB his last two healthy seasons (2019 and 2021).

I agree and QBs should never be pinned with wins and loses, honestly it is an insult to every other player on the field. Is Dak a Mahomes or Rodgers? No he isn't. But I'd say his talent is on par with Stafford and he is good enough to win it all. It's the rest of the team that needs to fall into place.
We can see that with Jalen Hurts right now. All the pieces around him are in place and surprise surprise, he is having a successful season so far.

You left out bad contracts, bad trades, horrible coaches, horrible GM and front office and bad drafting. And your comment Cowboys being Cowboys, well that is a total reflection of Jerry's leadership and culture that has been going on since 2002.

I like the Navy with grey pants much more than the Royal blue jerseys and green pants.

The Cowboys never had green pants in the 60's and 70's.

Re: Week 3 Discussion
Injury is probably the most annoying thing about the NFL. Seasons are ended out of no where from injury.
That and pass interference which usually a subjective call that could go either way and has a drastic impact on the game.

False, Texx Schram changed the color of the pants to seafoam green because they appeared to be blue on tv. Jerry changed them when high def tv became a thing.

Damn. Why do the Chargers seem to have so many injuries? Crazy.
The craziest thing is that it's always to their most key players. So far it's Herbert, Keenan Allen, Bosa, JC Jackson (best corner/pro bowler), Slater (pro bowl as rookie), Corey Linsley (pro bowl C), Guyton (WR3), Kenneth Murray (best LB).
I would say their D should be decent but without Bosa it makes it so much easier,,,,lines cannot handle both him and Mack...but if they don't have to worry about which one to double, they are ok...so QB has more time and then JC Jackson out. Asante Samuel is good on the other side (though dropped a few ints or got one overturned) and Derwin James.
Keenan Allen is the biggest miss though, especially with Herbert banged up along with the OL, because he can get it to Keenan quickly and he is one of the best route runners in the league. He will keep the chains moving. It will also make things easier for Ekeler and Mike Williams will get less focus. Can't lose to Houston again, especially on the heels of losing to Jacksonville.

Reading this crap made me have dejavu moment again. It's literally same sh** every year and yet we get this special cases come up with amazing takes.
Tell me Giants o.line ain't THE MAIN ISSUE... they been bitc**** about it since Eli's rookie contract. Wide outs? That Golladay contract make Jurrah respectable GM. Their D line and LB were their blueprint to chips, Osi, Strahan, Tuck, for fu** sake even JPP etc were PROBLEMS. Well since Jets trash and no real competition, Mara is good and getting that cake. I can care less about G.Strinh bit****
Problem is majority of boys fans will suck into fake hopes again without understanding what real problems are and how we will get smoked come PO. This boys team is pathetic trash. That secondary... why Brown still in the league, safeties, don't get me started, we really going to rely on corpses of Peters and Smith, what about RT and LG? WR? This Lamb kid making me thunk now, that drop was huge, it has to be sure TD. We can't expose their trash secondary and a rookie? WTF is going on. Don't get me started with Fat Ass and Steve Jones man.

Show me a picture. I have a Dallas Cowboy history of Cowboy uniforms in my blue room and how they have evolved since 1960. I also have over 400 plaques on my wall and an extremely healthy collection of vintage photo's going all the way back to 1963. There is no such thing of Cowboys ever wearing seafoam green pants prior to 1981. As a matter of fact I stayed up almost all last night and I can't find any evidence of the seafoam green pants till late 1990's to early 2000's and that was with the home white jerseys. Cowboys road jerseys have only made two changes since changing over from Royal blue to navy jerseys with silver mettalic pants in 1981. If you look closely the first 6 years the numbers and the names on the jerseys were a silver gray. they have been changed to white and a star was added to the sleeve. That's it. No other changes outside have been made to the road blues.

The Cowboys ended the sea foam pants back in 2020. I believe it was around the Tony Romo era when NIKE kinda took over the NFL and the Cowboys started to experiment with greenish type pants that most of us thought were gross. I've looked at all my plaques, gone through over 400 vintage photos of players I have collected that were wearing the royal blues, and I can't find anything come even close to foam green. The very last game the Cowboys wore the royal road blue jerseys was the NFC Championship in 1980. Two years prior they beat the Rams in the NFC championship game 28-0 in the same royal blues. At the beginning of the decade they played in Super Bowl V. When I compare these 3 photos with all the others I have access to, there is only one difference, and its not the pants. The Jersey and helmet had slight changes to it but from 1964 till 1980, the pants never had any changes to it. From 1960 to 1963, the original pants were all white.
