More impressive late-career Playoff run: Porter in ‘98 or Carter in ‘16

Which late-career playoff run would you say is more better and/or more impressive?

Terry Porter’s last significant NBA playoff run in ‘98 where he averaged 15.8 points, 5 boards and 3.2 dimes in 37-38 minutes per game for the Minnesota Timberwolves as they ran with a lineup of two point guards vs. the Seattle SuperSonics, so the starting lineup they used for that playoff run was Stephon Marbury at PG, Porter at SG, Anthony Peeler (formerly of the Vancouver Grizzlies) at SF, Sam Mitchell at PF and Kevin Garnett at C, and were playing without Tom Gugliotta as he was out for the rest of ‘98 due to bone chips, but still managed to get himself a lucrative big money contract with the Phoenix Suns in ‘99 as he, Scottie Pippen and Antonio McDyess were the top three free agents available prior to ‘99.

or

Vince Carter’s last significant NBA playoff run in ‘16 where he averaged 11.3 points, 3.8 boards and 1.3 dimes in 22-23 minutes per game for the Memphis Grizzlies, as they went with a starting lineup of Jordan Farmar (formerly of the Los Angeles Clippers) at PG, Vince Carter at SG, Matt Barnes (formerly of the Charlotte Hornets) at SF, Zach Randolph at PF and Chris Andersen (formerly of the Miami Heat) at C as they were without Marc Gasol vs. the San Antonio Spurs in what would be Tim Duncan’s final NBA season (and his only season playing alongside LaMarcus Aldridge).

Don't get me started with the KG Timberwolves--worst mismanagement of a star I have ever seen.

Imagine for a second they don't trade for Marbury and instead in 1998 have Porter/Allen in the back-court.

I'll go Porter here--efficient playing alongside the black hole that is Marbury.

Off topic, but KG should have left Minny since they lost 5 years of first round picks due to the Joe Smith debacle. It's hard to build a contender with no picks on a "less desirable" market.

What if he had bailed and signed with a healthy Grant Hill in Detroit or Jason Kidd in Phoenix?

Nah, KG is loyal. The Timberwolves shouldn't have done what they did with such a mediocre talent. The Wolves also shouldn't have traded Allen.

Plus we deserved KG after our franchise was stolen.

Hard to say you "deserve" KG after the franchise got caught stealing the #1 pick from the Warriors.

I don't know how the salary system was at this time in the NBA but the contract offered from Minnesota was too good for Garnett to turn it down at this time.
