Guys who appear to be on the bubble to get cut: Saben Lee, Stanley Johnson, Udoka Azubuike, Jared Butler. Saben Lee and Stanley Johnson were throw-ins to trades in order to match salary. Dok is still not cleared for 5-on-5 activity yet, which is a tough position to be in when cuts are being made. Personally, I would rather buy out 36 year-old Rudy Gay or waive/stretch him than give up on Jared Butler or even Dok this early.
If it were up to me, I'd cut Lee, Johnson and Gay.

Re: Roster 2022-23 as per September 21st
Word out of training camp is that NAW has been playing with a lot of confidence and has been shooting the ball well. I'd argue that until Agbagi gets adjusted, NAW is probably our best 3D wing. He's got enough shooting, passing and defensive switching to be a good glue guy next to other guys who are going to want to dominate the ball and get shots up (e.g., Sexton, Markkanen, Beasley, Conley).
The more I watch THT, the more I'm seeing some similarities to Emanuel Mudiay. He's a big, powerful guard who wants to put the ball down and drive to the rim, either to finish or to turn back with a short mid-range jumper. Passing becomes a bit of an afterthought and team defense can be hit or miss. Meanwhile, his 3pt shooting has been sub-Westbrook.
I can see why Ainge might be interested in THT as a young prospect. He can do some creative things with the ball. Still, he's got a ways to go before he's a reliable rotation player.
In other news, Fontecchio has been stroking the ball in training camp.

So FO plans to extend JC? Just saw in the team page but haven't found any article on this yet
Just realized how wing heavy the roster is after years of trying to fill in the position lol

I think it is unlikely we extend an already 30 year old Clarkson, but I guess we'll see.
Draft Nate Wolters - FAILED

The real decision the Jazz FO is making is between Continuity, Cap Flexibility, and Cash Considerations.

Tony Jones was quoted as saying the Jazz were more likely to extend JC than to trade him.
IOW I read it that the organization doesn't want to trade Clarkson and see him as a culture piece at least for this coming season. He also said the Bucks were the only team that showed interest in him but didn't have any intriguing picks to trade. The Jazz would've had to take back a George Hill type in the trade. As much as I personally like JC I'm hoping that younger guys such as NAW, THT, Bolmaro, etc get a chance. Conley had some good things to say specifically about NAW a few days ago.

Butler looks pretty bad, gay looks slow, Conley small, tht not good. Laurie, sexton and Kessler look good, Clarkson leading the tank

The team looked pretty good in the first half but why was Hardy giving so many minutes to the old guys such as JC, Gay, and Olynyk? Gay is washed. I know alot of fans like Clarkson but he is not a great team player as he just looks for his own shot every time he touches the ball.

THT and Butler should be playing for a spot too, both looked horrrible
