Preseason Game 2: ORL vs MEM

That first half was awesome! Starters looking good. Here's to hoping Brooks finally straightens out a bit ha.

Is Tillman on the trade block? Didn't play in either game and I didn't see an injury (I could have missed it though)

X is probably a little behind from missing training camp due to personal reasons.

Ja defending is the biggest wrinkle though.

Did not expect to see Santi Aldama start and shoot the ball so well.. I'm not super surprised they're committed to keeping Clarke as their 6th man but Aldama was pretty far down my list of expected starting power forwards.

Given Adams’ extension and the rise of Aldama and Lofton, I think both Tillman and Tillie are quite likely out.

I think he is getting the nod mostly for his shooting. They want that extra space around Morant so that he can have driving lanes even with Adams also in the paint. Clarke would really clog it up if paired with Adams. We may get some run with Brooks at PF as well though so it'll be interesting.

I didn't know he could shoot. I mean I knew he got shots up and had decent looking form, but I wouldn't have predicted Aldama would start games BECAUSE of his shooting.

I'm hoping/expecting that Clarke plays the most minutes of any frontcourt player, even if that's off the bench. But I was guessing Memphis was going to go small at the 4. Laravia, Konchar, or Roddy playing with Brooks. I know this sounds crazy small, but Memphis last year seemed to be pretty indiscriminate with positions 2-4 so I'm ready for anything.

I have noticed how underdeveloped LaRavia’s body’s is. There is certainly room for development, which ultimately might allow him to turn into a quite athletic, strong PF effective on both ends.
