Well...that was... something.
It's unrealistic to expect players to learn basketball from late April to mid october. If that's possible you would see superstars born in G league in mid 20s. But that's not reality.
PLayers improve, but don't become brand new players, rather improved versions of themselfs, improving skills they already had, getting bit better at things they weren't good at . But that " getting better" for majority of players continues to be weakness,by nba standards, for rest of their careers in most cases. Because NBA "GOOD " at some skill equals uber elite by normal basketball standards.
There isn't much to be said really.
Suggs looks like american football player who plays basketball. Lacks creativity, can't see open lines, crushes into closed ones. Shoots execlly how NFL player trying basketball would shoot- throwing bricks.
Bol is bad version of Bamba who is already unplayble in nba on serious teams. Bol can only play center because he has no mobility to play anything else ( guy is painfully slow with his shooting motion and even slower while dribbling ) , and in same time he has no skills to play center ( nor weight ).
There is clear lack of leadership & experience and too many young players who don't understand their role.
When you have talent like Franz, we saw in Eurobasket how useful he can be when he plays along side veteran PG who understands how to run offense and manipulate defense.
Banchero can't play SF, it's complete waste of time in nba to play him there. NBA small forwards are some of most elite athletes in whole world, he can't keep up. Let a guy be PF.
i have fear that we will be watching those frankenstein's monster lineups whole year and results will be pretty bad.
