Just amazing how hurt the RBs get on this team. It's obviously a position that takes a beating so it's almost impossible for guys to play every game but it seems like guys can't even make it a couple games before they are out with injury with the 9ers.

Maybe we could look to hiring the strength/conditioning/training staff that we had under Harbaugh. Somehow it seems that players are more made of tissue now than they were with Harbaugh's training/medical staff.

Every year our RBs get hurt. No wonder why Kyle keeps drafting more

For whatever reason Brunskill has historically been Aaron Donald kryptonite. And the 9ers got the Rams this week.

Brunskill's past performance against Donald is certainly not guaranteed to be replicated, but having him out there on Monday night could be helpful.

McKivitz sprained his ankle and is expected to miss two months. ****. That's pretty devastating. We should still be in good shape to win the next two weeks, but Moore was AWFUL in his limited action. Ugh. Here I thought we actually made it through a week without serious injury.

Yeah, that's quietly a big blow to the offense. As you mentioned Moore has been dreadful. I've heard they are considering maybe plugging in Brunskill or possible even Hance at LT. But neither of those are encouraging plug LT plug in options.

Fortunately Kyle is good at creating a gameplan and calling a game centered around quick developing plays, and one of Jimmy's better attributes is being able to get the ball out quickly. But, being down to your 3rd string LT is never something you want to be forced to work around. As has been the trend, Kittle will also have to continue to stay in for pass protection more often, which waters down the passing attack.

Fortunately, the short term on paper schedule isn't too scary with the Panthers and Falcons coming up. 9ers will be favored in both those games, but they can't get complacent and lose to another poor team like they did to Chicago. Plus they are back to back east coast games, which always present one more hurdle to clear.

Hopefully 9ers take care of business these next 2 weeks with good health, and by then Trent Williams will of had 4 weeks of recovery time before the Chiefs game. Maybe, just maybe, he will be close to returning by then.

If only Gipson didn't have pan hands?....

Still, hes been an excellent pickup so far. Especially considering they brought him in late August.

Absolutely incredible start by the defense. Will be tough to maintain that kind of pace, but hopefully they can sustain being elite all the way through February.

They've played awful offenses though.

They've played well to contend, their offense is going to have to do more.

McKivitz injury is said to be an MCL sprain on ESPN.

This is awesome.

You gotta love Trey's dedication and his effort to do all he can to try and get better.

I've been pretty critical of Banks in the past. But I have to admit that he's been damn solid so far this season.

I'm happy to be wrong with my opinions in situations like this.

Sure, that is part of the equation.

Still the defense being #1 in most of the meaningful metrics, is quite impressive. Especially impressive is being on pace to allow substantially less yards per play than other other team in the modern era. Today's NFL is much more offensively friendly than it was for the '85 Bears and '00 Ravens.

There will be tougher matchups ahead, but you can only play against who is in front of you. And the defense is playing at an insanely high level right now. Plus they will be getting J.Ward and Verrett back into the fold soon.

the guy is really playing under the radar solid... not Laken yet but not a black hole as many feared...

great effort and I hope he keeps it up. I think OL improves over time when given playing time. as the weeks go, Banks is getting better even if in small increments.

Seems like Armstead and Kinlaw are going to be dealing with lingering injuries all year. Both are unlikely to play on Sunday
