Now it is Poole. With Poole’s extension under negotiation. Do you discipline Draymond *and* extend Poole? The optics will be ugly.

Do you not discipline Draymond for something that you usually discipline for? That will be a bad example for Kuminga Moody PBJ Rollins and Wiseman.

Do you become more conservative on the decision to extend/not extend Poole because of this BS incident? That will disrupt your team building plan for the next 4 seasons.

The only common denominator is always Draymond.

Btw Draymond stans, I am not even mad at Draymond. So don’t go off at me.

To me, he has sort of become like that relative of my family, which you go “oh he did that again?”

For that reason I agree they should suspend him one game.

I don’t know whether a modern team usually disciplines a player if he hits a teammate in the face. If they do, I guess your suggestion is a logical choice.

However, will Draymond sulk the whole season because of this suspension, and Poole gets extended?

Remember he was like Kerr and Bob treated him like a boy etc. then later he and KD got on a podcast being all revisionist on what happened.

Chris just need to get the “teammates noticed behavior change due to extension” part in at Klutch’s request.

What a tool haha.

Is Chris Haynes employed by Klutch? This sounds like something somebody with LeBron's balls in his mouth would say.

“Apologetic” then turn around and blame it on Poole.

Haynes is a good guy. It was Dray who apologized, and it is Haynes who is commenting on Poole. There is no contradiction there.

Hope Draymond does better with appologizing to Poole than he did with appologizing to KD. Management also did not come out looking good in how they handled the KD Draymond problem. Steph, Klay and Iguodala might want to think about providing some leadership to resolve whatever this is. I have never heard Draymond say anything but positive things about Poole. At the momment I can't remember anything that Poole has said on any topic.

Hope Draymond never hits his wife.

I don't know if we will ever hear why Draymond hit Poole.
Maybe Draymond will say something on his Podcast but he needs to be careful.

Wrong. It's just been revealed the source was Raymond Breen who is known for his black framed glasses, huge nose, and comically large mustache.

strange that an impartial reporter reports on it and fans are still only interested in blaming one side

I've been a huge Dray defender but this is over the line. Dray is aging and if he wants a big extension it will not happen. After 23-24 he is going to be 34, not sure how well his game is going to age.

We need him now still but moving forward he is the guy I think management may make the cap casualty.

Can definitely see this being part of the issue. By all accounts, the team feels that Poole is one of the hardest workers. So I would think that guys would be happy for him.

This could lead to another interesting twist in the future makeup of the roster. Maybe we delay Poole's extension and let Draymond walk next year. I am getting a little bit of a tingly sense of what we had to endure during Durant's last season after the altercation.

Welcome back! The season has finally started! Draymond hitting Poole in the face. Klay not ready for season opener. Poole potentially pissed at Draymond moving forward.

If you don’t have drama, you aren’t a champ!

We all knew there would be drama with Draymond and the issue of his contract this season. We didn't even make into the regular season to see the first signs of trouble. There will be more. Draymond is very insecure, realizing he's older, not the player he once was, and the FO has other options now. I'm just not sure Draymond will be a Warrior after the trading deadline. He's going to be a BIG headache starting now.

Honestly, who wouldn't talk mad **** to Draymond if they had to listen to him bump his gums every day at work.

What a difference a day makes. In my opinion, this incident is far worse than what transpired between Draymond and KD. That was a dispute between relative equals, two veterans who'd already had multiple paydays. Poole is a young guy who has every right to be proud of himself. He's worked hard to put himself on the precipice of generational money. If he came into camp with a little swagger, EVERYONE should have been happy for him. Draymond wanting to knock Poole down a peg or two is nothing short of petty. And, I say this as a fan who generally has looked the other way regarding Draymond's antics. It comes at a horrible time too. Either it effs up the Poole negotiations or those negotiations still get done and it steals some of the joy out of the event for Poole. Either way, I am very disappointed in Draymond.

When I was young, I used to work for a guy who was frequently abusive, he would rant and rave at people when things weren't going his way. Later, he'd (sometimes) go around and apologize to the victims of the day. And generally, people accepted this, over and over, and would said "Oh, that's just what he does." It became normalized to the point where everyone was desensitized to it. I was not OK with it, and I don't understand why people accept this kind of behavior in a personal or professional environment. Whether that person is talented or not, more senior or not, should not matter.

I don't know all the details of Draymond's behavior or his relationships with everyone he works with, but just from the things we see from the outside, there's an ugly pattern there over many years. That this involves—now—physical violence, is even more disturbing. It's 2022 and it's time to stop this "boys will be boys" and "that's just how he's wired" coddling BS. These are grown men making millions of dollars and it's embarrassing for the franchise and for me as a fan of said franchise.
