Oh stop. Westbrook is making 2.5 times what Robinson makes. To match those contracts without giving up someone important is difficult for most teams. Plus, the Lakers are desperate to win now as LeBron is nearing the end of his career. Wasting another year with this core is less than ideal and out of desperation usually brings a higher cost.

Robinsons contract is not "disastrous". Its the cost of an elite shooter now-days. Guys like THj, Fournier, Huerter, Bertans, Bodanovic's, Powell, Harris, Gordon, Trent, Dort, Beasley, Kennard, McDermott all make similar money to do similar things. If the majority of teams are paying an elite shooter between 15-19m per year, is it an overpay?
