keynote wrote:Now that the TMZ video has leaked: where does Draymond's haymaker rank as the hardest/most flush punches landed by an NBA player (and caught on video)?
1. Kermit vs Rudy T
2. Kareem vs Benson
3. Dray(?)

The Chris Childs two-piece is well-memorialized as a GIF, but those punches didn't seem to have any power behind them.

Any I'm missing?

I remember that looping haymaker.

Brad Miller is a lucky man.

Lucky that Shaq doesn't have hands. BTW that was a cowardly move.

This was crazy too

Good one; I forgot about Portis giving that poor man a concussion. But there was never a video leak, was there?
Always remember, my friend: the world will change again. And you may have to come back through everywhere you've been.

Portis' punch was so strong that Mirotic changed continents and started posting on RealGM.

Yup, and I'll add Brad nearly paid the price for the NBA allowing a decade of hack a shaq. The NBA used to allow guys to blatantly maul shaq and he got hit a ton upstairs. He snapped that day

Who was in that fight with Alonzo? You know, the one where no one landed?

Heard an interview where Rudy T said he was tasting his spinal fluid. Yikes.

Tomjanovich, who crumpled to the floor, almost died that night of injuries that were akin to being thrown from a car going 50 miles per hour. His skull was dislocated and spinal fluid was leaking from his brain. He recalled being able to taste the fluid in his mouth.

This is what I imagine that punch looking like. Mind you the video is from the early 2000s.

So many people who attain the heights of power in this culture—celebrities, for instance—have to make a show of false humility and modesty, as if they got as far as they did by accident and not by ego or ambition.

It’s true Shaq got hacked a lot.

He also committed more offensive fouls than anyone else.

The classic Shaq dip the shoulder, bump the defender off and finish.

Sad part is, that Green punch was actually really good. Just unfortunate that it was also a very cowardly move.

I came in here to post exaclty this. 8-)

Does it look to anyone else like he missed on purpose? He winds up but then he hesitates before throwing the punch. He probably realizes he could have killed him.

Why are you imagining it though?.. It was covered on live TV. There's a clip out there somewhere.

Do elbows count? Because Anthony peeler's shot to Kevin Garnett's jaw is a classic.

I've always been a big Kareem stan, and I understand and respect the emotion behind it, but that was a full-on sucker-punch... I mean, the elbow was cheap too, but that happens a lot in the post...

At least when Kermit hit Rudy, he was swinging on a guy who was running full at him (and trying to protect Kareem in the process)...

Kareem just punched a dude in the eye who wasn't looking at him... And then danced half a court away as the dude crumples to the ground.

I thought it was funny at first, but now I'm kinda disappointed. What would Bruce Lee do, Kap?

5. Kareem punching Ken Benson

A lot more out there.

Bonus: Hakeem slapping Bill Paulitz of the Jazz.

That Barkely shot was more of a clothesline / Russian sickle than a punch, but good one.

Bas Rutten teaches that exact technique. (He called it a clothesline). Very cool to see it in real life.
