It takes big men a long time to adapt. Some never do, but Mark Williams has the intelligence and work ethic to get there. He needs playing time and not in G-League.

I was surprised he struggled on putbacks. Like Biz level fumbling easy points. This is a guy who can lick the rim like a lollipop flat-footed.

I think he will be solid. But I'm surprised he's so far from ready. I wanted him to steal the job from Plumlee out of camp. Lol.

I just want them to give Williams and Kai minutes regardless cuz I want them to tank. Plumlee looks completely washed and I'm on board with you about not wanting to ever have to watch him play on this team again. Good guy and no hard feelings, but theres no point for him on this team anymore.

I'd be fine with them throwing Richards to the wolves against starters just to protect Williams/Kai from having to play too much against the best players and using the young guys for backup minutes. If hes as bad as hes looked it only helps the tank too.

I'm not even greedy and hoping for Wemby. This draft also has Scoot and multiple really good wing prospects.

I have to think picking up 4.25 m on Plumlee is more about having a practice dummy than anything. I hope it's not long before one of them can approximate his impact. His IQ over the others keeps him in the mix one last year. Hate that he reduces the impact of his teammates. But the other centers might damage it more. So, we kind of have to protect the whole team.

I just can't believe they didn't pay Plumlee 4.25 to go away. The Oubre option looks okay right now. That takes out some of the sting.

If he plays like this, plays both ends, respects the system, he's a trade piece at this deadline. Maybe we can get someone like Richaun Holmes for him at the deadline. And cut Plumlee. We'd be eating less than 4.25.

And the price of Holmes is crashing. And we have a Jazz 2023 second. I would think someone like Holmes is a smart buy as a placeholder. He fits our system. He's contracted 3 years. He actually could belong in a playoff rotation.

I'm an owner of a team in the Lakers board Dynasty league(going 10 years strong now). Also a longtime lurker of this board, I have a fascination with the Hornets for whatever reason.

Anyway, long story short. It's my job to keep tabs on the future prospects since I need to draft them in my league, and I got Scottie Barnes/Josh Giddey and Alperen Sengun with picks 5/6/7 last year. Tyrese Haliburton with the pick 8 2 years ago.

However, NO ONE and absolutely NO ONE ever got me more excited as a prospect for a lower pick( had #6 this year) than Tari Eason.
His production at a college level in a major conference was almost unheard off when you factor in minutes played and both off+def.

I was praying really hard you guys get him, it was a match made in heaven as far as I'm concerned and I see most of you guys agree with this take. I'm legit sorry for you guys, you missed on a good one.

To put a little salt on the wound, he's what this guy did all of this summer, while not playing once over 30 minutes in a game.

17/7/1/3/2
19/10/2/2/0

21/10/2/2/0
24/8/1/2/0

So his worst game as a pro is a 14 pt 13 reb outing.

Kai with a DNP-CD. So, yeah there's that.

I was on my knees begging them to take Eason at 13. I almost wrote Mitch a letter. Turns out I should have. I've never been higher on a prospect over the last 5 years. Eason is better than most everyone on our team already. Its sad.

I like thor best out of he Williams, Kai. I like Williams 2nd.

I think Kai's problems is he thinks or plays like he is more advanced than what he currently is.

Williams lacks speed and a real offensive game but at least he gives you what he IS. If you need defense he will give you that.

Thor is probably the least talented out of the three but does a good job of being who he is. His ceiling imo has probably been reached.
