I’m not really interested in Noel playing much less starting. What do people see in Noel? Outside of being a plus defender and shot blocker, I don’t see any other positives and this team isn’t good enough to have the luxury of playing a one dimensional player like that for long stretches.
Two years ago, Noel had a really good defensive season. He was top 5 in defensive win shares and top 5 in defensive box plus/minus in the entire league.
Last year he had a down injury plagued season playing only 25 games and he wasn't very effective at all.
Impossible to know what player we will get at this point, but if its 20-21 Noel there's no chance Casey doesn't play him on a nightly basis. He is playing for a contract in many ways so he might be going all out this year.
