Ray has recovered after a bad start to the year, and is a bit of a different pitcher this year than last: fewer strikeouts, a shade more walks, but also doing a much better job of limiting hard contact. Mostly because the Mariners have him throwing his sinker much more than in 2021...it isn't a particularly effective pitch on its own, but seems to keep people off the high four-seamer.

It still doesn't make sense to me that MLB gets to decide whether or not that the dome can be opened.

This Rays/Cleveland game might be the most offensively futile spectacle I've ever witnessed. Through 11 innings of this game and 20 IP in this series as a whole, the two teams are hitting a combined .132/.176/.178.
