Imagine if we, in our regular 9-5 jobs punched someone at work then announced "I'm going to step away from the office for a few days "

Errr no. You're fired. Cya

Sidenote - posting a vid of himself a day after the video leaked vibing out at a Mary J Blige show really wasn't the smartest idea

With my Iguodala hat on, I’d call that systematic racism and inequality.

Totally understand your point old friend, but this is professional sports... it happens all the time.
They're in a workplace that is highly physical with a lot of extremely well paid often childlike egos
Dray should get a suspension. He's already apologized to JP, the team and organization, and answered for himself to the media.
The faster he gets back to work, the faster this thing goes away.

I think people don't understand how much this is going to affect Poole. If this happened behind closed doors and no one saw it then it would be different. In the hood or prison you are seen as a punk if you don't retaliate against this kind of thing especially if the team doesn't severely punish Draymond.

Did anybody ask Draymond what he thought of the reports that Poole was supposedly acting up and that he had changed?

Yeah, and guess what...the Warriors organization isn't San Quentin. Seriously, what are you proposing...that Poole bring a shiv to the shower? Maybe Steph can stand lookout at the entrance until the deed is done and Morgan Freeman can narrate the whole thing. :D

Nope. I listened to the whole 35 or so min of the Draymond video. And 15 min of Kerr’s.

No one dared to ask Draymond.

The only thing remotely related that Draymond said was it wasn’t contract related? For those still trying to find a reason to be on Draymond’s side, they can interpret it that it means Draymond doesn’t say it’s attitude related so Haynes’ tweet wasn’t from him or Klutch.

One thing of note, was the Kerr mentioned “honesty”. Whatever it relates to.

Another interesting bit that I’m not sure if everyone knows, is Draymond’s locker room is right next to Poole’s. I didn’t know so I’m just throwing this out. Extra awkward.

 no, but I wouldn't blame him for pressing charges and taking him to court. Actually would probably hurt Draymond the most if he could get him to have to pay out of pocket for this nonsense.

That's a preposterous thing to suggest. And, that's coming from an extremely litigious person. Honestly, I think that if Draymond would consent to Poole being given a few free smacks with a long sock full of oranges (no fists, don't want Poole hurting his hands) they both should be able to call it even. Draymond will be fine. He'll just feel like he got hit by a truck for a few days.

Fine plus suspended for all the preseason and likely not starting for the ring game.

People will eventually forget about it just like the ant incident. It'll just take longer because everyone hates dray.

I listened to the plus +- podcast today and I think the team restricted who could ask questions. Kawakami was not allowed to as well as Slater I believe.

Having posted what I said, after listening to the full press conference, I do feel Draymond sounded genuine enough re: his **** up.

Wait, so JP's street cred would be reestablished if he called the cops and filed a lawsuit? Things have really done a 180 since I was a young man.

I'm not a fan of the comparisons to sports teams & players to everyday peoples jobs and work places/environments because they are not. Politicians, policemen, etc are not on the same level as an employee at Best Buy.

They are not the same.

I don't condone Green's actions at all, but Ive been hating all the "if I did this in my workplace I'd be fired" convos.

Green has meant more to the Warriors organization than any regular employee has for their 9-5 job.

I figure everybody at that practice probably knows what got Draymond riled up, but they are not talking.

WTH does that have to do with it? So if Elon Musk or Larry Ellison or some top engineer or chief surgeon punches one of their employees that’s OK because they “mean more” to the company? SMH

Those cases would be resolved via lawsuit. Jordan Poole can file one if he wants. If I was on the jury, I'd find in his favor. I think we all know he won't do that though, because being on an NBA team is different from working for Oracle or Tesla, no much some of you want to pretend they're the same for some reason.

And for the people upset that reporters didn't ask about the Haynes tweet... Of course reporters aren't gonna go after other reporters.
