So-called rigging is because of "unlikely" coincidences in small sample sizes. We see this all the time in data science. People, who are not as logical as machines--I swear I'm not a robot (do you believe me?)--construct stories to explain the world (& bad luck).
What you see in that video is a criminal act of assault.
It's beyond ridiculous for any professional organization to be playing cover up with something like this. That's the kind of **** that gets people fired after somebody else somehow gets ahold of it and leaks it to the press.
What a sad comment about our society as a whole that some people believe criminal behavior like this should be covered up.
It constantly amuses me to see garbage like this here.
It also makes it painfully obvious that most posters are:
1) pretty young
2) have never been competitive athletes and spent time in a locker room
3) show the lack of backbone this country has
Fact is that I grew up heavily involved in competitive varsity level sports through college. A lot of this **** had always gone on. The coach deals with it and the next day you are teammates again against the other guys. The advent of video in everybody’s lives now simply bring to light things that happen in a highly competitive and volatile environment. If there was something to make of it I assure you that would have happened.
You also have no idea what was done to provoke the hit. I have many times seen aggressive smaller guys in basketball egg bigger guys, hit them in slick unnoticed ways and outright smack or pop them thinking they can get away with it because they are smaller or having a chip in their shoulder and a mouth that their smaller size can’t cash.
I think it’s best not to play Real GM attorney and leave this to the professionals to deal with. There’s a good reason why JORDAN POOLE isn’t pressing charges and I highly doubt it’s because the owner or GM told him not to in a union protected environment run by the strongest sports union in the country.
